:lol: but man, he looks like he is trying to straight up murder that QB pylon thing!

Yep, this kid is only going to get bigger and stronger... Just imagine the complete destruction our D Line could be?

Illinois Safety Jalen Banks recently received his "dream offer" from Oregon. He'll be visiting the state and UO unofficially for a few days starting June 19

Good god Eddie's a freak. I played OL back in Hs and if I ever played him I'd get nightmares.

following the summer camps, rivals recognizes the best of the best across the country by naming a 1st and 2nd team... maybe Vanderduck makes one of those teams this year? Can anyone recall which DE commit earned 1st team honors last summer?

btw, the Oregon coach's camp in July is supposed to feature far more of the prospects that the program is targeting then the just completed NFTC camp

My feeling if the Ducks didn't land AA, that this Vanderdoes discussion wouldn't even be happening. This kid will be a 5* by summer. Elite recruits have friends and AA did Oregon a huge favor if we land Evil Eddie!

In case you didn't know...

Robert Nkemdiche commits to Clemson. I guess them Tigers have the second coming of Da'Quan Bowers.

That's huge for Clemson, good for them! It reminds me when Clowney picked South Carolina..... A little balance is a good thing! Just be greatful he didn't pick Bama or fucking USC! HAHAHA!

Effin Clemson. now THERE is a team who routinely pulls in some BIG name talent and underperforms.

No I'm not bitter from when 99% of recruiting followers though Tahj Boyd was ours :p

new QB offer following a visit... meet Johnny Stanton

the cheesiest intro/music eva, but he looks competent

another Duck offer goes out to a kid from the SE. Florida Safety & rivals top 100 member Leon McQuay III looks like quite the prospect

that is the most retro looking rivals pic I have ever seen! :lol: that is awesome

Having a defensive secondary stocked with Florida players is a good thing. This is a state known for speed and athletes, further most Florida high schools play two terms of football a year which makes these kids battle tested and ready to go when they hit the college level.

Boyd was supposed to be one of ours? Well he's having SOME success over in Clemson. I mean, they were ranked #5 and if they hadn't choked they would have gotten quite far. And last year was the one good year, and this year is supposed to be even better word of mouth.

But hey, congrats to him. The only way we would face Nkemdiche is if the Ducks land in the Orange Bowl

We'll get another SE guy someday. Right?

(I hope?)

Well not "supposed" to be Oregons. Just when it came down to his decision day most everyone expected him to be Oregon. Part of it too was gonna be cause his ACL was torn the football season before and with Oregon's top notch facilities, he would have been in good shape. Def wish him well, and I'm quite happy with what we got from Thomas instead :)

looking forward to seeing this guy suit up. Issac Dixon is another who will be cutting his teeth this season probably mostly on special teams, and Eric Dungy will be in the mix at WR

SO Eddie Vanderdoes is interested in playing baseball as well, and is visiting USC next month for football AND baseball.

Is it true that Shaq Thompson signed with the Red Sox? If so how is he eligible to play football after signing with a pro team even if the sport isn't the same? Isn't there a conflict?

the Mundt video at the end claims a 3.8 GPA :)

it is true he did, and no it doesnt make him ineligible. Many players have done this, I dont have the exact rule or anything but I know that Dennis Dixon did between his junior and Senior year, and I remember Bellotti being none to happy about it.

Shaq may come back after playing a year or 2 in the minor leagues, otherwise, he's gone for now.

Man, being a huskies fan is suffering

here are the rules on playing Minor League Baseball AND College Football. I'll leave it in the recruiting thread since it seems to be a question regarding Eddie V and his future :)

(a) Uses his or her athletics skill (directly or indirectly) for pay in any form in that sport;

(b) Accepts a promise of pay even if such pay is to be received following completion of intercollegiate athletics participation;

(c) Signs a contract or commitment of any kind to play professional athletics, regardless of its legal enforceability or any consideration received, except as permitted in Bylaw 12.2.5.1; (Revised: 4/29/10 effective 8/1/10)

(d) Receives, directly or indirectly, a salary, reimbursement of expenses or any other form of financial assistance from a professional sports organization based on athletics skill or participation, except as permitted by NCAA rules and regulations;

Why do you say that? It seems like he is eligible to do both and plans to.

Oh. I thought that if you commit to Minor League baseball, you can't do other sports/college. My mistake I guess.

So...any recruits, other than Brian Quick, that have a great chance for coming to Eugene?

James Quick is the WR they're after... my guess is he goes to tOSU though. There are lots of kids visiting UO this summer but not all of those visits will be publicized. I know that Illinois Safety Jalen Banks is supposed to be in Eugene right now
