DAT is going to the NFL, but I say Royce take a Redshirt and learn the playbook. That way, when Marshall declares Junior year he will be in the rotation

Florida LB Vincent Jackson was a twitter-ing last night...

@VMJacksonJr: Didn't make the trip to Autzen this weekend, have to reschedule it. Fault on my end

in another he says that he probably would have committed on the trip. The main tea leaf speculation that I'm hearing is that his test scores either were too low or that he didn't make them available on time. If true, hopefully he can clear that situation up shortly and make it to the Civil War

That's a mighty damn shame. He would have loved it there and would have committed too.

So, who came up this weekend?

along with the recruits we expected to see on OVs yesterday, WSU O-Line commit Braden Eggert was also on the sidelines. Very big boy

also, all 5 guys (Eggert, Freeman, Crosby, Smith & Nicholson) came with their parents which is always a positive sign

Fun fun. Can't way to see one of them commit. Smith would make a good safety or WR.

Also, how did they like their visit?

STOMP, if MM left after this year, who would be the QB in your opinion? Someone already on the team or someone coming in?

Lockie & Rodrigues would be the heavy favorites to land the job... I'd guess Jake

how did they like their visit?

usually it doesn't leak out how a recruits trip went until later in the week, but apparently Montae wasn't the only one who had a great trip. Juju has been relaying that he was "blown away" by his OV and the people he met.

I think we're comfy regardless of QB thanks to our stable of RBs.

Well let's hope we grab these guys over Notre Dame and the other power houses :)

Don't sleep on Morgan coming in. The coaches see a ton of Marcus in this kid. I've not been impressed with Lockie, I'd go with Rodrigues. That said I think Marcus should think very hard about wanting to be the starting tackling dummy for Jacksonville or Tampa Bay! I might opt to let Manziel, Teddy or Taj take those honors and save myself from certain injury on those teams.

Nice, we stole from Choklahoma and Methzou.

Now to get Jackson to be our ILB, or is Mattingly gonna be that?

If we were to get Budda, Springs and JuJu to hub this classes secondary we'd be set for the next 6 years with what we already have in the pipeline.

remind me of the last true freshman to win the starting QB job at Oregon. I'm not positive, but pretty sure it hasn't happened since I attended back in the 80s. Those are loooong odds Mahalak is facing

Oregon plays multiple players at every position on D, so yes to both though Hardrick still will have have two seasons to play after this one

respectful well spoken kid. Glad to have him aboard!

in a rivals interview from this past August, he lists his top 4 schools including Oregon and then says they've all got great engineering programs which is what he plans on studying. Welcome on board and all, but I wonder what his new major is? I always take the E word (engineering) as a red flag warning of a kid Oregon will eventually lose out on, nice to be wrong.

there doesn't seem to be any public video to link, but he sure looks big and fast in rivals one. Can't get him into Oregon's cafeteria soon enough...he could stand to put on 15 to 80 pounds

Top QB's always go to shitty teams with shitty offensive lines. The story isn't going to be any different next year.

I'm sure Luck, Wilson and Kaepernick would all disagree with you and they all came out in 2012. Point is Marcus is 19 still, doesn't need to go pro yet, and the teams that need him the most are a train wreck from management on down. Hopefully his advisors are smart enough to tell him to lay up for another year and gain some valuable leadership ability that he'll definitely have to demonstrate "VOCALLLY" for the pros!

he said "top QBs". Neither Kaep or Wilson went anywhere near the top in the draft like MM is projected to, so it makes no sense why you're siting them

btw...Mariota turns 20 tomorrow

Luck was the #1 pick, did you overlook that or it just strengthened your argument? Either way all the QB's I listed have lines to protect them thus why they have been so successful. Tampa and Jacksonville do not. If I was Marcus I'd pass, wait a year and go to the Texans or Broncos after Peyton takes a nasty hit this year or next.

You think the Broncos will go the Aaron Rodgers route and draft Mariota to develop and learn behind Peyton or Brady?

Anyways, who is coming up next on officials, or any of our targets going to Stanford for an official?

Have you seen the Seahawks O line, Wilson is spending 90% of his snaps on his butt.

Mostly due to a fuck ton of injuries on the O-line, and that the Rams D-line is one of the league's best.

Now let's get back to talking recruits.

obviously you've confused yourself again and are upset that I'm pointing this out. It makes no sense to bring up guys who weren't top draft picks because in setting up your argument you stated "That said I think Marcus should think very hard about wanting to be the starting tackling dummy for Jacksonville or Tampa Bay! I might opt to let Manziel, Teddy or Taj take those honors and save myself from certain injury on those teams." Tampa & Jacksonville project to be drafting at the top right???

Luck fits your argument in that he went #1. I didn't overlook him silly. Yes we all get that you adamantly want Marcus to come back... I'm sure just about every Duck fan wants him back too, but I doubt he's going to factor in our collective hopes much in his decision. My guess is that if he comes back it's mainly to get his degree, dude is supposed to be a pretty serious student.

MM and Rogers are different QB's.
