Good measurements, he will likely be a T-Rob type though. Lots of dunks, not a good ft shooter, not much range but hustles hard.

I'm thinking more Bo Outlaw w/ elite athleticism - he has a much better bbiq than Robisnon ever showed. With his measurements, he isn't an undersized PF as many thought. With his reach and 253lb frame, you can probably play him at small-ball center.

Usphaw with a 9'5" reach - who is also a quick jumper - even with his redflags I think he'll be out of reach.

He has rare center size.

Sounds like a heavier kenneth faried then.

Upshaw's length and reach, along with his quick-leap, puts him in Rudy Gobert territory.

No way does he last until #23.

Not needed.

Hibbert is likely to opt out.

Would rather have Upshaw anyway.

Which drugs did he get booted for? It says he failed several drug tests at both schools. I assume it was more than just weed. That would be the only reason why he would drop to us.

From what I've been able to find it was weed.

I assume he was caught and was given another chance only to test positive again.

I don't have a problem with him smoking weed, I just question his intelligence and commitment to his team when he knew he would be tested again. How stupid is he?

Cliff Alexander was another winner: 6'8.5" with a 9'2" reach -- elite standing reach for a PF. Though, his game is cloned from T-Rob. :pokecrap:

I remember posting about this guy in 2013 as Chad Ford was drooling over his potential. Although he didn't develop into the player some thought he could be (lotto-level talent) he was a decent prospect, mid/late-second rounder this year.

They found him dead in his hotel room yesterday.

Found in his bed dead. Unknown cause. I suppose they'll do an autopsy. Who knows, we might have gotten him.

Speaking of prior draft picks, I thought the interview with Sarik was interesting in terms of how Euros view the NBA.

How do you think an extra year in Europe can help your game?

DS: I would get more experience playing at a high level in the Euroleague. If I went to the NBA, I'm sure I could make progress individually. Europe is a better place to learn to play within a team concept, to improve as a team player.

very intriguing but with mid season dismissals from two programs there are red flags and with the culture thingy would this mgmt and PA take the chance?
I'm thinking yes, depending on what their private detectives and psychologists have to say about it. ;)

He's not wrong...

Super Dario!

As the draft started to shake out the week of the draft I had it ranked for our #10 pick as:

1: Dario Saric
2: CJ McCollum
3: Steven Adams
4: Rudy Gobert

Super talent. He would've went higher than #10 if it weren't for his odd behavior that summer - saying he'd come over right away to saying he wasn't sure if he'd ever come over, finally his agent pulled him out even though they continued to interview teams.

thats a solid list!

what about the year before?

Lucas' measurements and his 5-on-5 play at the combine has raised his stock apparently....

DX moved him from the mid/late second round into the first round.

Quite the leap.

A raw project - super athletic PF. He probably shouldn't have declared, he likely would be a lotto pick in next years weak draft.

Poor man's Blake Griffin:

Bump.

Their combine numbers are pretty close:

BG: 6'8.5" w/o shoes | 6'10" w/ shoes | 248 lbs. | 6'11.25" wingspan | 8'9" standing reach

JM: 6'8" w/o shoes | 6'9.25" w/ shoes | 239 lbs. | 6'9.75" wingspan | 8'10.5" standing reach

Martin more than held his own against Kentucky with KAT and WCS on him the entire game:

21 pts | 11 rebs | 8-11 FG | 38 min

DX has had him in the first round for a couple weeks now.

An option at #23:

Now considered a lock to go first-round and rising:

Osman and Hernangomez are the fastest rising Euro prospects heading into the draft.

Chaf Ford: RJ Hunter killing it in his workouts. Especially the shooting drills. Likely go to lotto.

He also has an 8'8" reach, that's big even for a SF. At SG, that's going to be unblockable.

Very similar - though, RJ still has a 2" reach advantage.

Hunter is a freak.
