Sabonis: 15 pts | 14 rebs | 7-10 fg | 23 min.

TS% for his first two games? 93%

Man, Simmons looks like the real deal. We probably won't have a shot at him though.

I love it when the Blazers win but what is a few more losses in a season we probably don't make the Playoffs and are far from being a contender. When you look at the long-term impact of what having a player like that can do for a franchise, I don't root for a loss.....but they don't bother me near as much if someone like that were to come out of many of them.

Just gotta get in the bottom 5. Lotto is no guarantee, but we want the best chance possible to land #1.

We might still get bottom 5 but too late to be tanking (already). Other teams have been blatantly doing it from the start and might not win more then 7 games from here on out.

That's the beauty of the Lottery system. We don't need to be awful, just pretty bad to hit it big. I'd be more than fine heading into the Lottery sitting at 6th or 7th.

There's just no way we'll end up worse than the Sixers, Nets, and Lakers.

I'm not in favor of it, but if we really locked in on someone like Simmons as the future cornerstone, the smart play would perhaps be to trade Lillard to a team like Philly or Boston with lots of shots at the top pick, in the process making us bad enough this year to really increase the ping pong ball odds. With how similar CJ and Lillard are, I think the team will eventually have to make a choice between the two, so why not sell high now with our best asset and retool for a couple years down the line?

I know, it's stupid. You can't get rid of a young all-star, great teammate, leader, and spokesman, and true ironman, no matter how bad his defense or limited his pure playmaker upside are.

Uhh... trade CJ, not Lillard. That's just a no-brainer in this situation.

Trade neither unless it is a no-brainer (probably only 2 no-brainers for Lillard - and it isn't happening).

You have been on the trade CJ kick far too early. Earlier then the so called haters even. It won't happen as long as Olshey is GM unless some other GM has a brain fart and gives us a super-star.

I only said in that situation. I also fear that CJ is our Monta.

Would I rather have CJ? Yes. But, for the right price, I'd trade him. Still figuring out that right price though... (which is a good indication of how I feel about CJ. I actually really like him.)

In the case of trades vs. CJ and Lillard.. Trading CJ is the right answer, all the time. That's what I am getting at.

I just can't envision that ever being a scenario.....

And yes, I would trade CJ as well but it would take a lot from the other team. Maybe that is me being greedy but of course I want to win a trade. It would have to be a big game player.

Agreed on these!!!!

Monta Ellis + Fillers got Golden State Andrew Bogut and an older Stephen Jackson. Would you take a Bogut caliber player for CJ? Bogut is definitely a key piece for Golden State, but not a cornerstone.

Not sure who this Bogut type player is. Because I wouldn't take Bogut now. So I say no until a name comes out.

What about a guy like Beal?
Yes Beal due to his size but I think game-wise that they are a wash otherwise.

But they wouldn't do that deal anyways and maybe Olshey even passes. Beal gets hurt a lot, he is even hurt now isn't he? (CJ seems to have bulked up and past his injury issues).

Realistically players I'd want in a CJ deal would be: Horford, Mirotic and Parker (Jabari)

He just came back on Saturday with the shoulder... but yeah, that is true.

If they brought back similar value, sure, but I don't think CJ nets us a top pick like Lillard would. Not any time soon, at least.
