Didn't think it was possible, but, Bosnian Beast looks even more beastly after his off-season of workouts.
Looking forward to see how the extra mobility adds to his game.

Noah Vonleh has developed a sky hook like Kareem Abdul Jabbar. I saw him shoot about 100 hook shots from 15 feet away over Meyers Leonard and he sank about 80 of them. He also looks like he's got an incredible outside shot. He's also added about 35 pounds of muscle, he uprooted Ed Davis from the ground and went up for the jam with Ed Davis hanging on his back, and I kid you not, he still got the ball about a foot over the rim. /Mike Barrett

That sounds great and all but it's not like MB has never over-hyped a practice/workout before. It used to be before every pre-season, almost every player on the roster had All-Star potential, had make huge strides from the year before and was shooting the lights out.

And then the season came...

I find it interesting that we have 5 pages, so far, of Official training camp thread, when camp OFFICIALLY starts Sept. 25th

Clownzano will talk about the Blazers jerseys next on channel 8 news.

I just watched the sports sunday (albeit, fast forwarded) and I didn't see him say anything. Unless it was like 2 seconds.

Morrow should of had an unlimited amount of uncontested open 3 attempts. With his man always going down to help on WestBrook.
You only get uncontested shots attempts when someone passes the ball to you.

Battles imo:

PG: Briscoe for roster spot/2 way contract.

SG: Connaughton vs Morrow to replace Crabbes shooting off the bench. Goodwin for a roster spot.

SF: Layman for rotation minutes. Turner could be a sneaky pick to start over Harkless. Remember how he well he played as a starter before his injury.

PF: Aminu/Swanigan/Davis/Collins for a starting job with Vonleh out.

C: Davis/Collins/Leonard and possibly Swanigan for backup C job.

If it was up to me I'd have at SG Goodwin replacing Crabbe's minutes and Caunnaghton, Morrow battling for a roster spot. I'd have Davis and Collins as backup Centers, Swanigan, Aminu and Meyers at PF although Meyers at Center could maybe somehow work depending on if he adjusts defensively. Briscoe I hope stays. I wish it wouldn't be instead of Napier but even if it is. At SF I'd have ET starting, Mo as backup and Leyman earning his minutes

Meyers is not a PF.
Turner starting would be bad. We need shooting not ball handling next to Dame and CJ.
We need shooting off the bench. For that reason Morrow should play over Goodwin.

We need ET starting, in my opinion, because of his playmaking and that he plays team first because with Dame, CJ, Caleb (IMO) and Nurkic we'd have many offensive options. I think Meyers is a 4 but don't mind at least experimenting with him at Center and I think Morrow ahead of Goodwin isn't right, Morrow is on the decline and I think Goodwin is a better player who's more of a Combo Guard than Morrow and has better skills which is important to give us play making, decision making and the ability to create his own shot. I don't think Morrow should even be on the roster, I preffer Caunaghton.

Turner's playmaking is overrated imo. He's best used as a mid post iso option and he's not getting any of those opportunities playing with Dame/CJ/Nurk. His point of attack D is also wasted in that alignment

SIXTH MAN OF THE YEAR!

Meyers can't move his feet. He can't stay with 4s. He's 7'1. He's a C.

Morrow has shown much more over his career than Connaughton has. I hope we cut Connaughton.

We don't need more playmaking. We have two of Turner, McCollum, and Dame on the floor at all times. We don't need 3 (and sometimes 4) players on the court at the expense of shooting. Goodwin isn't even a combo guard, as he's definitely not a PG. He has as many turnovers as assists over his career so he's not a good decision maker. He's averaged 1.2 assists per game over his career. Do I have no idea where your opinion of him being a playmaker comes from. It doesn't seem to be based in any actual fact.

We need to play rotations if players who's skillsets compliment each other. Turner would play a lot more off the ball in the starting line-up, which he's worse at, so he'd be misused there. Harkless is a great cutter and much better playing off the ball than Turner, so he's a much better fit in the starting line-up than Turner.

It's not just ball handling that Turner brings. He's a more dynamic offensive player than Harkless and a more consistent defender. He's probably best fit off the bench just because we need him there more but I wouldn't be surprised if he did end up starting. I'm hoping Harkless can find some consistency with his shot and defense, while he also keeps developing his post up game that flashed last year

Turner is much more dynamic with the ball. You need someone who can play off the ball when Dame, CJ, and Nurk are all in the game.

McCollum/Morrow/Turner/Aminu/Swanigan would be a fun, potentially effective bench lineup I think. Probably a little lacking defensively but it has enough shooting in insulate Turner's lack of range and if you need more D, you could go Collins instead of Biggie.

Why can't Turner play off the ball? Pre Nurkic our best lineup had Turner in with both Dame and CJ. Don't see why Nurkic' addition would change that. The more playmakers the better. Only reason Turner will probably come off the bench is because we'll need that playmaking with the second unit.

Nurk is a better playmaker than Turner. And IMO, our offense should primarily be ran through Nurk.
Turner doesn't belong on the team.

Because he can't shoot. Where's your source that says that's the best line-up? I doubt it was.
