I just wonder if it’s related to Portland. If the info was coming from his boy Haynes, you’d think Haynes would’ve reported about it by now. But if it’s coming from Olshey it’s obvious why no one knows.
His agency and Nate Jones are prolly other sources. I believe he's also close with Marc Spears with the Oakland connection.

Would you still include a pick?

From Minnesota's perspective (even though Thibs got fired) they probably need to feel like they "won" any trade involving Saric even though he hasn't played well for them because if they don't get much for him that would mean they basically traded Butler for Covington.
I don't think it makes us better enough to take the extra year of Dieng and include the pick. One or the other, but not both.

@Scalma suggested Moe/pick for Saric/Bayless. That makes sense and feels even to me. If we're adding Turner and Dieng to that deal, then the pick comes off the table.

Wondering the same thing.... Not sure it's necessarily about the Blazers, but (obviously) I hope so!

His passing is such an underrated (and maybe underutilized) part of his game. Just picturing him in a Blazer jersey doing this shit.

Sergio's fancy passing rubbed off onto Saric that year. Sergio Rodriguez would be spellbinding in the fast Stotts system.

You have some of the weirdest posts. A guard who can't shoot would be good in an offense that doesn't have a lot of ball movement and is usually close to last in fast break points? Portland's pace of play is usually average to below-average. What do you mean by fast system?

Some posters just want to argue. Taking shit is part of the fun here. Yesterday I said that I'm not the only one who thinks that a trade is fun, and half a dozen guys tried to make it a critique of Whitsitt. I ignored them..

Watching Sergio was great fun, as that video shows, and his passing rubbed off onto Saric that year. Common sense = what you call weird.

LOL, yup just ignore all the facts of my post. Typical.

Teams I think would be interested in a Harkless/1st package

Pelicans
Bulls
Pistons
Grizzlies
Wolves
Kings

Among these teams, the only realistic targets I see are Mirotic, Saric, and JaMychal Green. We wouldn’t have much control over Green and Mirotic in the summer, making Saric the ideal target imo. Moe and Saric are closer to even as far as production goes. Saric just fits what we need better, and this move would also give the team more flexibility in the summer.

Wasn't trying to make it a critique of whitsitt at all, just noting the difference in era's and why it might be harder now to be that active then it used to be. You were the one who brought up whitsitt. I actually agree with you though that roster changes and movements provide "fun" for us fans and I'd like a more aggressive GM.
Anyways Sergio good at making fancy passes and those were nice! Not sure if he made Saric a better passer or not but that seems plausible at least.
