where did I say he was on the same level? Said he was their big long term star that many of their fans thought would be untouchable. My point was their GM knew he had to pkg Derozen to get a sot at Kawai.
Would you have done it with Dame? Now your the GM, what would you do?

I don't blame any agent who gets a player to the east on the Bucks or 76ers...it's the best shot at getting deep in the playoffs
 
Portland could have beat that deal i think -- WTF but i will reserve my final hate towards NeO til the Deadline passes
 
Kind of relieved about Mirotic. We need bigger and better. I'm about protest in front of Moda if Neil doesn't get something substantial done.
 
How does that work? They just got Johnson in trade; they shouldn't be able to aggregate him with Smith to trade him for Mirotic.

That depends on how you view Harkless' contract. I would argue that a low value pick is a fair price to get rid of Harkless and rent Mitotic for the rest of the season. If we can get under the lux tax threshold, there is at least a slight chance something positive can happen during the off-season.
 
The only good thing is at least he was sent east so the Blazers will not get killed by him in the playoffs like last year.

I know what you said and the problem I have with it is Derozan was nowhere close to the level of Dame, in either talent or impact or importance to the franchise. Toronto wasn't trading their Dame, they were trading one of their two CJ's. That's a huge difference

Which is appropriate, since (a) he really doesn't factor in because GSW was winning without him, and (b) we don't have a little bitch on the team to draw a parallel with. :)

I'm not commenting on your argument at all - just making pithy comments around the edges.
 
To be fair, we don't have any 2nd round picks till about 2024.
