I really feel sorry for them at this point and i hope Nik finds a home as long as it's not on a team that will NOT face the Blazers in the playoffs cause i can just see it now --- Nik send the Blazers home in the 1st round after he goes off like he did on opening night against the Lakers

You would actually advocate trading Aminu, Curry and a 1st for Mirotic? Holy crap.

where did I advocate that? See if you can find any post of mine wanting a trade for Mirotic

people were saying Portland couldn't trade for Mirotic because they don't have expiring contracts...that's wrong

people were saying Portland couldn't trade for Mirotic because they don't have any 2nd round picks. But they have a 1st that would likely trump a bunch of 2nds

personally, I'm fine with no Mirotic on Portland. That was reason enough to not do the trade. Those reasons about expirings and 2nds were bullshit though

Morey>Olshey
I agree. But, a lot of this was Morey trying desperately to fix his terrible offseason signings. He did a shit job before the season started as none of his signings fit with the team, and the players he let go of would have helped much more.

Agreed....but he is doing something about it. As opposed to a certain local GM of late...

Neil lost his phone and is scrambling to find a phone booth to pull off a last minute deal of Caleb for a 2nd round pick

The Pelicans wanted ending contracts AND picks for Mirotic. You can't say that the Blazers had ending contracts (that no sane person would trade for Mirotic) and a 1st round pick and claim that Olshey screwed up somehow by having the needed assets but being unwilling to use them

True. However, he quickly recognized his errors and made changes to fix them...
While in Portland, we just have to wait 4 years before the errors are corrected.

Yep. 100%. Just wanted to point out that Morey isn't made of gold and actually fucked Houston's roster up pretty badly this year.

...all that damage and the Rockets are only 1/2 game behind the Blazers.

Well, if you compare the quality of their team this year as opposed to last season, there is a pretty gigantic difference. They aren't going to be challenging Golden State in the WCF.

I would submit that when Paul and Capela come back, they will be the 2nd best team in the West....again.

Rockets have also been facing injury issues. Like, let's not ignore that CP3 has been out for half the year.
