Warren won the debate with a once again strong performance. Biden is losing it, made Bernie his foil because he didn't want to face off with Warren. Weak sauce. Bernie is Bernie. He is the best candidate behind Warren, but will never get the nomination. Booker is very gregarious and well spoken. I appreciate his reminders to harness fellowship as we look towards the bigger picture. I like that Yang talks about the actual issues with the system. He is no going much further in this though. Mayor Pete would make a good VP, but I don't see him getting the nomination. I like his pragmatism though. O'Rourke had his best debate, and stayed relevant but mostly because the shooting in El Paso gave him a personal stake in the conversation. I could see him as a VP pick possibly. Klobachar too. I could see her as VP or in the cabinet somewhere, but not as president. Castro won't win the nomination, but he has for sure reserved a place in the cabinet of whoever gets the nomination should they win.

As a lifelong democrat, this is a weird feeling I'm having.

Not a single candidate seems like a surefire winner against DJT. Scary thought.
Like a month ago, I had that same thought. It wasnt a great feeling, but I had this come over me like dang Im not sure if any of these candidates can beat Trump. I know around in this neck of the internet, that sounds insane, everyone will vote against Trump all that, but it just seems weird...

I like it!:cool2:
Not to derail too much, but I normally vote more on the conservative side, but I wouldn't vote for Trump ever, so, Im looking strongly at the Dems because I want one of them to stand out for me, or I’ll vote independent again. So far I kind of like Yang and have been really unimpressed otherwise.

uh, Yang seems to be the one that belongs on the stage.
So where does your opinion come from?

That may be so, but he doesn't have the base. I don't think he is going to be able to make a big enough jump in polls to get the nod.

Well hell, vote for Yang!

Seems like the obvious choice among this group to me.
Of course, I will vote for Trump, no question, but I could live with Yang.
I umm have some hesitation with Yang too, but if he got the nomination to run in the primary he probably would get my vote. I think he would debate vs Trump just fine.

That would definately be an interesting debate. He could very easily confuse the shit out of Trump

I thought Klobachar won as far as appealing to moderates, independents & Repub looking for a more centrist candidate to vote for versus a socialist.ed. I think Warren better lean more to the mid and get away from free everything or she will not pick up the need segment to beat Trump or even get the nomination.
I thought Yang was good and Mayor Pete too.
I was disappointed in that there was no debate on the economy other than tariffs.

Klobachar definitely had a strong debate. She could be a dark horse. I could see moderates opting towards her. I think Warren will ultimately win the nomination. (Maybe a Warren/Klobachar ticket...probably not)

I also like Pete and Yang. Pete seems the most honest candidate out there.

I was also disappointed that the subject of enconomy was not further touched on.

I also don't think Joe hurt himself and actually was good for most of the debate.
Castro was wrong in his challenge to Joe too. And he was inaccurate in what Joe had said.

That was a bold move by Castro. An attempt to raise his standing. I don't think it will work well for him. A bad look.

I though Klobachar had the best offer of mediation by commenting "that if your tired of the basically bs on the right and left extremes, she's your candidate.

The only two people on that stage I would vote for are Yang and Sanders. The rest are Biden clones with varying cognitive abilities.

It blows my mind how anyone can take a super pac funded candidate seriously. The people who run these super pacs are literally spending hundreds of millions of dollars to make sure NOTHING changes in this country. Guys like mayor Pete seem great to the average low info voter who can’t see through his vague and meaningless platitudes, but to those who look for more than cute anecdotes, it pretty obvious him and most of the others are just saying whatever it takes to get in office so they can start paying back favors.

Table set. In front olive oil cake. In back rack of lita, bowls of tabbouleh, tomatoes and basil from garden red pepper dip, hummus, tzatziki tahini sauce. Skillet of chicken shwarma. Carafe of iced tea, lemonade from tree.
Stop it, stop it, you bastard. My mouth is drooling uncontrollably. Love iced tea and the only thing I love better is real lemonade.

Pete is great. He has a chance to be President - eventually. Beto was solid. I would be thrilled with either. I would be happy with any of them of course, anything to get dipshit out of there.
Pete is my favorite but I think Biden has the best chance of beating Trump and Biden seemed remarkably informed on the subjects very very unlike Trump who doesn't even dress himself let alone read anything longer than a paragraph written in a format that a third grader could comprehend. "Oh, see Dick throw the ball to spot."

But Booker, Harris, Klobuchar, O'Rourke, Yang, Warren, Castro and Sanders all did well.

Next to Buttigieg I like Warren. Then Booker and Castro.

But, like you, I'd be happy with any of the ten rather than the dumb fuck stinking up the place now.

My guess? Is Biden. And then it's President Biden.

Democrats need crossover voters. People who voted for Trump last election. ALOT of previous Trump voters are willing to vote democratic this time around as long as it’s not an establishment super pac clown, like most the people you mentioned.

The only two I think could beat Trump because they will be more moderate and effective going after independents, moderates & republicans/conservatives looking for an option to the far left leaning demo socialistic message that won't be accepted by many, are Joe & Klobachar. She invited those that are looking for a more moderate place to come her way, and that will be affective. The next two for me would be Yang & Pete.

I'm not a Castro fan, but I would loooove to see him debate Trump. He doesnt hold back, thats for sure. I kinda liked it when he said "This is a debate..not here to be friends"

Any of the ones I mentioned would beat Trump but Biden especially would wipe the floor with him.

For the life of me i cant understand how people like Bernie. Almost everyone else on that stage I could get behind. If Trump is a cartoon character for the right, Bernie is the same for the left. And for crying out loud can someone get that man a speech coach? I feel like he's about to drool every time he opens his mouth. Castro needs to bow out- he has zero chance. Yang F'd himself, so he's done. The remaining 7 I can support.

Bernie is someone anyone can walk all over and he'll take it. (see: DNC)

Just that time where BLM basically kicked him off his own stage at his own rally made me lose respect for him.
