it's not close to the insult rule TBF...it IS the insult rule...as a new mod I suggest you delete posts and pm offenders as to why....my 2 cents. People who are habitually diametrically opposed on issues could just stop engaging each other and that'd be a start

If you'll re-examine, I think you'll find that I did my best by trying to stick to the topic at hand...feel free to edit and/or delete whatever you deem necessary. The crux of the message remains.

Almost everyone ever banned from S2 got banned from the OT section....HCP and I insult each other with humor ….if I insult Maris when he has made personal insults but try to let it go at one post if possible I have no problem with post deletions...these things don't need to be escalating thread to thread though. In my view...best to not engage repeatedly with the same results.

I'm trying to steer it back on topic without a bunch of post deletion it's not going in a good a way. I will be back later to take a look at it.

My goodness...lemme me, you want to prove something that never happened? And I did not "bitch" about anything...instead, I asked a simple question.

My "paraphrase" was not at all "misleading"...it described things quite accurately.

1. El Prez said ".Too bad the Dems said shes a Russian asset. (Gabbard)

2. I then replied that; "The "dems" did not say that."

3. 3 minutes later you countered with; "Plenty of them have."

4. I then asked ; "Where's your list?"



And from there you have been tap dancing around an answer and claiming that you don't have to back up what you said. Just admit that you cannot/will not provide any articles/links that state there were "plenty" of Dems that said "Gabbard is a Russian asset".

@yankeesince59 it doesn't appear @jonnyboy is going to answer you. You guys have been going back and forth over the same question for 2-3 pages. It is ridiculous. If you can't agree to disagree just don't post/reply towards each other. Your back and forth took the thread off course. @TorturedBlazerFan removed some of the posts between you. I decided to remove more because it's muddling the thread. Tortured already issued a warning. He attempted to move the thread back on track. You guys continued your back and forth. Enough.

Could be, but I think it's mostly because she's awful. I have no loyalty towards "the Democrats" though I obviously skew "liberal".

I appreciate a good insult, when done with wit.

When done by trolls, the result is apparent to all.

The biggest problem here is too many are lazy readers and take things personally when they were not a target at all.

Joe Biden's heated exchange with Iowa voter

Joe Biden didn't like an Iowa voter questioning him about getting Hunter Biden a job in Ukraine, so he challenged him to pushups. Ford O'Connell weighs in.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden lashed out at a man on Thursday during an Iowa town hall, challenging him to an IQ test and calling him a liar. But many observers think the former vice president may have also mocked the man’s weight.

At one point during the heated confrontation that occurred when a voter asked about Hunter Biden's payments from a Ukrainian gas company, Joe Biden appeared to begin calling the man “fat” before catching himself.

When Biden said the word in question, a group of schoolchildren off-camera gasped, thinking the former VP did, indeed, call the man “fat”.

“Look, fat, look, here’s the deal,” Biden appears to have said near the end of the exchange, prompting the voter to tell Biden he lacks a backbone.

His campaign claims he said he didn't say “fat,” just “facts.” And, later in the day, when asked if he used the word “fat,” Biden responded, “No, I didn’t.”

BIDEN LASHES OUT AT TOWN HALL QUESTIONER IN HEATED EXCHANGE: ‘YOU’RE A DAMN LIAR, MAN’

During the fiery altercation, Biden unequivocally referred to the voter as “Jack” and a “damn liar” and challenged him to a pushup contest.

The encounter began when the audience member described the former vice president’s age and his son Hunter as his chief concerns with the presidential candidate.

“I’m not a Republican,” the man said. “I’ve got two problems with you. One is you’re damn near as old as I am. You’re too old. I’m 83 and I know damn well I don’t have the mental faculties I did [inaudible]."

Biden is 77.

The man in the audience went on to the topic of Ukraine -- specifically, the lucrative job Biden's son Hunter held with natural gas firm Burisma Holdings during the Obama administration. Impeachment proceedings in Washington are focusing on Trump's effort to pressure Kiev to look into the elder Biden's role removing a prosecutor who had been looking into the firm.

“But on the other hand, you sent your son over there to get a job and work for a gas company where he had no experience. ... In order to get access for the president … You’re selling access to the president just like he was,” the man said.

Biden fired back: “You’re a damn liar, man. That’s not true and no one has ever said that.”

Someone appeared to attempt to take the microphone away from the man in the audience, but Biden stopped them, saying, “Let him go.”

Biden then challenged the man to a pushup contest and the exchange escalated until the controversial comment that critics on Twitter felt was a jab at the man’s weight.

It wasn't a belief. It was a fact. Like I have always said, mods just need to be consistent. I'm done.
