I wonder if GS would bite on Ant to replace Klay. He would be good around Steph I think. Maybe maybe not.
For a declining Thompson? No thanks.

Oh, Klay is done. I didn't expect him back but I'd take a 2nd round pick or some expiring contracts. For a declining Thompson? No thanks.
I wouldn’t mind trading Ant for a needle moving SF.I've again lost confidence in Ant and Nas. They were the guys I'd have sold high on last year.

I'd have benched him for Keon recently..
This.it's something weird around here when I have to be the one advocating some patience with Simons. People are acting like Simons should be able to carry the team like Dame can. Simons ain't Dame; of course, Dame probably gets trashed around here more than Ant
yeah, it would help if Ant was consistent within a game and bring offense for more than a 7-10 minute stretch. But he can get there I think. I also think those believing he's a PG are just as wrong as those believing CJ was a PG. Ant is a hybrid guard right now and he just don't have the court-vision to consistently run the team. But again, he's a long way from a finished product
I would take this also. Ant is just CJ again but sometimes actually worse. His contract is horrendous. Klay is an awful option.Oh, Klay is done. I didn't expect him back but I'd take a 2nd round pick or some expiring contracts.
Ant just said he wanted to be an allstar this season but this isn't how he achieves that...he's not playing a consistent game since our last road trip. It's got to be mental because everyone knows he can shoot and pass better than he has been for a stretch hereObviously we wished the game would be closer, but beating this level of a team, on the road, without Dame was a big ask.
I don't know what his story is but we could use him nowlWhat did Keon do to injure his hip? When is he supposed to be back?
You are right about Ant. I doubt anyone wants to take him though. 100 million player…smh
people hated cj mccollum game, its not hard to see that were gonna hate simons game tooThis.
I swear people on here have too much PTSD from the Dame/CJ era to give Ant any fair shot. People are judging him as a finished product when he’s far from it. People ignore the drastic improvement he made in a short period of time.
I just think with his limitations/contract/usage we would need him to be a Steph level shooter or heck I'd take a 46/41/90 to be in the conversation for a championship, and yeah I just doubt it.This.

Problem is he's paid like a finished product and well beyond his rookie development era....it's time for him to impact wins consistently and run the team...he has shown he can be a pt guard last season...this season he's a turnover machine who's not shooting great until it's too late. He's showing he's not leading when Dame's out muchit's something weird around here when I have to be the one advocating some patience with Simons. Like I said you are judging him like he is a finished product. He’s far from it. He’s only 18 games into his role as a starter.I just think with his limitations/contract we would need him to be a Steph level shooter or heck I'd take a 46/41/90 to be in the conversation for a championship, and yeah I just doubt it.
He had part of a season as a starter last year to add to those 18 games.....he's no longer a rookieLike I said you are judging him like he is a finished product. He’s far from it. He’s only 18 games into his role as a starter.
Sure but he's a chucker now. You're right maybe one day he'll stop chucking, as I said earlier I hope he does.Like I said you are judging him like he is a finished product. He’s far from it. He’s only 18 games into his role as a starter.

18 games in we can start to see what we have here....after this road trip we've got a 20 game sample size
Ant can join the 100 other players in the league who want to be an all-star. Becoming one is difficult as someone as talented as CJ proved. Neither Ant nor Grant are consistent enough to be all-stars. Doesn't mean they're bad players either.
What we shouldn't do is have significantly higher expectations for Ant this year because of how much more money he's making. Paying a guy more, doesn't make him better. Ant is a good NBA player in my opinion, he's not a great player at this time.
I absolutely have higher expectations for Ant this season because of his starting role, his money and his years as a Blazer...it's time for him to impact the team and right now, he's disappointing me when it comes to that. See if he turns it around. Shaedon is the project on this team, not AntAnt can join the 100 other players in the league who want to be an all-star. No one is claiming he’s a rookie. To fault him for the contract is unfair. These extensions are on scale for his level of player. Contract amounts are only increasing with anticipation of the next TV deal.He had part of a season as a starter last year to add to those 18 games.....he's no longer a rookie
I don't fault him for his contract...I ask him to live up to it....I'm only disappointed in Ant for his recent stretch of play and not trying to make false equivalencies about it. He's a starter...I expect him to play better for 4 qtrs, not just one qtr a game.No one is claiming he’s a rookie. To fault him for the contract is unfair. By no means am I comparing Ant’s abilities to Steph Curry, but there was a time when Warriors fans were ready to give up on Curry in favor of Monta Ellis.
I mean give the kid a full season as a starter before you judge him.
For realSome of y'all need a break.
