Game Thread 2022-23 Game #44 - BLAZERS @ NUGGETS - JANUARY 17, 2023 - TUESDAY - 6:00 PM (PDT) ROOT

That was a flop on KCP's part. Refs won't overturn it probably. That KCP has to resort to that when the game is in hand is pretty fucking pathetic.

Dame did push him unnecessarily. It was a dumb foul on his part.

We were only in this game because Dame was blistering hot in the first half. He's just playing at his normal on fire level since and that's not enough for us to win with other guys missing shit.
And Coach Billups. Hard to tell the Blazers had a coach at all. He could have stayed at home.

That should've been a no call and he should've let Dame lay on the floor for flopping. No reason for a whistle...

5 minutes in the 4 th without scoring is bad.
Never a good thing.

Some people tell us that the starting unit doesn't matter, it matters who finishes.

Well, if it's the Portland trailblazers, it's one and the same. So it does matter.

13-0 run by the Nuggets.....all against the Blazer starters.

The effort was there. The offense predictable. The talent disparity obvious.

They just bullied us.

Denver continues like they’re playing now the championship will be theirs

This is probably the most useless season in a long time Atleast last year we had a plan and tanked wtf is the point of another mediocre no direction season

What happened to our Shooting Big Man? Now he will go against Embiid next

I turned it off. Watching the bad offense and then Dame get the technical was enough for me.

I wanted to believe the two wins over the Mavs were a sign that we were figuring it out, but an object tends to its most natural state, and the Blazers' most natural state is mediocrity and not having any idea what to do when the pressure's on.

Denver is the best for a reason

And the Blazers aren't for a reason

After this loss, we are tied with the Thunder. I'm sorry, that is inexcusable. Dame/Ant/Grant/Nurk/Hart as a starting lineup.....tied with the super young Thunder? That is just crap.

That was Chauncey...

Just another deflating performance. Didn’t expect different but keep hoping.
Just time to make big changes. Obviously Dame still has it. The pieces around him should be more complementary. Obviously if we're going to contend the talent level has to go up but if we even want to compete Joe has to make this roster more balanced and a more cohesive mix of skills.

Rebuilding is a bad thing and takes forever..

You can go to Denver and lose. Right now, that'd be acceptable.

However, if you aspire to be a dangerous team, you can't go to Denver and lose your composure and get run out of the arena, and that's happened far too often with this team.

No poise. No clutch gene on this team. Even with Dame. No one else is comfortable having the ball in their hands in an important stretch.
