what has Cam done?

we invested the highest pick since Dame on the kid and he's playing behind a guy no better than him who is in year 4 after busting out on two other teams, who is also a FA in 15 games.

mindless strategy here and no direction.

we have a genuine need to develop Shaedon and get him on the floor as much as possible. Not playing him at all in a game where we get destroyed in the second half while Grant is sitting is idiotic.
Give me an example of one thing Sharpe does better then Cam? Cam's shooting percentages, Rebounding numbers, assists numbers are all better then Sharpe. So what is it that makes you think Sharpe should be playing more then him? Just because Shaedon was drafted high by the Blazers and Cam is a FA after this season?

We need as good of a pick as we can get. If the Knick can beat us in Portland, without their best player, at the end of a long road trip, we are in serious need of more talent.

Since I’m in NY and YTTV doesn’t have MSG, I had to sign up for free trial of Fubo. What a waste of time.

this game is simply confirmation of what we've seen all season. it's not some "aha" moment.

Boy this thread sure picked up as soon as the Blazers started loosing. What has Sharpe really done to earn more minutes. He has played the 11 most minutes out of all rookies and has some of the worst numbers from any rookie this season. I get it if he did anything good besides dunk, but what is it he does so good to deserve more minutes?
Hopefully sitting on the bench will motivate him to really work hard in the off season.

Brunson is good but Randle is their All Star.

uh. ya. what are we gaining by watching Cam play right now?
So not because he is better, just because he is a high drafted rookie? He is averaging 20 minutes a game and for rookies is 31 in win shares and 42 in VORP for rookies. If anyone else was putting up those sort of numbers they would be at the end of the bench with Keon.

Just so Chauncey won't play him again next season?

The Embiid shot broke us. We came to play in that game. We’ve sucked ever since. 31-38. Yikes. Bench Dame for rest of season. It’s over.

Other than Lillard, there is no talent on the Blazers roster. There is not one player who is consistently even slightly above average from night to night.

This roster never really recovered from the year Aldridge walked. We were able to put bandaids on some things and even make it to the WCF but, eventually, the bill was going to come due for bad acquisitions, bad contracts, poor drafting and poor development of young players.

If Watford and Eubanks are meaningful parts of the rotation next year, Cronin should be shown the door. Matisse played about as well as he could tonight, and it's not nearly good enough. There's more intensity in driveway one-on-one games than Reddish plays with -- it's easy to see why he can't stick anywhere.

This is just a mess. Olshey and Stotts put us in bad shape and aside from winning the No. 1 pick this year I don't see anyway this team gets out any time soon. What a mess.

Don't see where anyone said it was an "aha" moment. Been saying this for a number of years. This is just another chapter in a sad book.

Magic losing isn’t helping us. They want that 5th spot in the lottery more than us.

This loss moves us into a tie with Indiana for 6th in the tankathon. We need to do what's necessary to clinch 6. Passing Orlando for 5th will be tough.

Those are definitely good reasons.

Why would we play a guy who's four years older and a pending free agent? As we continue to lose?

There is value in determining how much money the Blazers should offer Reddish, but beyond that there's no reason for Sharpe to be not getting more minutes.

And it's not just Sharpe or Reddish. Thybulle has played 38 minutes. Little has played 10.

We should be winning or letting our younger guys play. We should not be losing while having our best young players on the bench for the vast majority of the game.

did we spend a #7 pick on Keon? has he ever shown the kinda star potential that Shaedon has? i feel like you're being dense on purpose and not seeing the big picture.

shaedon popping is one of the only avenues we have to get out of the mud. playing him 8 minutes while Cam Reddish takes his minutes in a dumbass showcase is idiotic, and especially so when we are getting destroyed at home by a team missing its best player.

I think Chauncey is trying to make a point that you don't get minutes given to you, you need to earn them. I hope Sharpe gets the message.

We don't have that convenience. We need him to develop quickly.

This should count double tonight. They lost and improved their draft odds, and the Knicks won and improved the Blazers odds at getting that 2nd pick.
