MUST. NOT. COME. TO. GRAND. CONCLUSIONS. IN. A. MEANINGLESS. MARCH. GAME. WHERE. NEITHER. TEAM. WILL. MAKE. THE. PLAYOFFS.
According to the stats, Watford is shooting 43% on 3-pointers. That would be huge if he could keep hitting them at a good rate.I was happy to see Watford and Nurk in there together for an extended time. They looked good but the way Watford plays I think he can fit well with most players.....at PF. He filled the stat sheet pretty well. 21/9 with 5 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks, and only 1 TO in 35 minutes.
I know he has had some really bad games and it is usually caused by unforced errors. But I love his potential when he plays with the starters and the more he plays the fewer careless turnovers he will make IMO. He just needs to slow down at times and play under control. That is fixable

this roster is not good enough to have a 25 mil bench player. if we are sold on sharpe, we need to move Ant for a starter at wing/C asap and get shaedon in with Dame.
Let's see if Billups tinkers with the lineup after winning the first game in 2 weeks.how nice is it to have an uber athletic 6'6" SG as opposed to more midget ISO ball?
When have we seen Nurk, Watford, & Grant ever play together before?Don’t tell me that you’re falling in love now. We’ve been down that road soooo many times.
Agreed. Ant has shown to be a below average starter.if it was a single game, devoid of any context, sureMUST. NOT. COME. TO. GRAND. CONCLUSIONS. IN. A. MEANINGLESS. MARCH. GAME. WHERE. NEITHER. TEAM. WILL. MAKE. THE. PLAYOFFS.
but while it was a single game, we have the context of the 71 games before it, and that's pretty relevant context. So, some conclusions (not grand) are not just based on one game, but 72 games. And of course, we have the added context of over 800 games from Dame, 300 for Simons, 400 for Nurkic, 600 for Grant, more than 600 games of the Dame/CJ combo, and nearly 2 full seasons for Billups. Conclusions, of course, can be wrong, but there's more going into the judgements than just one meaningless game in March

Yep. Only 6 games out of 4 seed too. It’s only March.
Lot of season left.

But he didn’t start with Dame during the 71 games. Plus, we’re enjoying Sharpe’s PROGRESS. In other words, better now than then.Sharpe has been a net negative over the first 72 games. So if we're going off the larger body of work, tonight would just be considered an outlier.
If you are comfortable drawing a new conclusion about Sharpe from tonights performance, that's fine. I'm not.
What’s your source? The lineups will be changing, but not because Billups is tinkering after a win, but because we'll be activating and deactivating other players as we try to obtain a better draft position.
How many of those games did Sharpe start and play with the starting lineup that played in Utah?Sharpe has been a net negative over the first 72 games. So if we're going off the larger body of work, tonight would just be considered an outlier.

You might be drawing conclusions from a faulty dataset.

You don't give up your sources, but if I'm wrong and there lineups/rotations are the same for the rest of the season, I will buy you tickets to the season opener. What’s your source?
I'm drawing ZERO conculusions from the Utah game; that's my entire point. How many of those games did Sharpe start and play with the starting lineup that played in Utah?

May I conclude that I like Sharpe?
This was probably the best overall game for Sharpe so far. Love the growth I have seen in the kid. He is lucky he is quick enough to retain his own mishandled dribbles most of the time. Right now, his handle is probably the biggest roadblock to stardom. I hope he works on his handle more than anything else this off-season.

Sounds like a simple case of Basketball JonesI still look forward to the games. Don't know why; could it be because I don't have a life?
We're in evaluation mode.Radio guys said Grant, Simmons and Nas are out tonight ....why would Nas be out? I didn't hear that...I think he needs to play and jump start his game...if it's another Nas injury...ouch.
Sharpe is really good at pushing the ball after a rebound. So the Blazers can run a fast break as long at the backcourt is Dame and Sharpe instead of Dame and Simons.
Times 10. Sharpe has the entire skill set. Trade Ant.I have to admit it sure does look like Sharpe could become a better a better fit next to Dame than Simons.
