it looks like a casual shoot around of a team that cant play for shit.
 
Blazers look out of shape.
That seems weird because you would think Chauncey would be better about having players in shape?

Our guys look like they just don't give one singular fuck out there... It is just preseason and I don't want to fall into that reactionary trap but I would expect way more fire out of anybody playing basketball anywhere (middle school playground to an NBA court).
 
Sharpe isn't used to going up against guys who are not afraid to be stiff. He's lost at least 2 shots on the way up.

Believe it or not, Dame won an NBA Player of the Week award last season.
 
I’m not going to worry too much just yet. Long season and this team has a bunch of new pieces.
Gonna see where they are at 20 games like most every season it seems.
Gotta give Billups a chance. Gotta see Dame get back into real game shape. Got to see if Nurk can get going. Lots of room to improve.

The only thing I will now look forward to this season is Dame passing Clyde, and Shaedon hopefully progressing.
 
Sharpe is a better point guard than our backup point guards. He grabs a rebound then goes up to the 3 point line and looks around for teammates. These other jokers just dribble straight to the hoop.
I like what I'm seeing with Sharpe's court vision and hope he can take advantage when the defense gives him an opening.

When many were complaining about the predictable offense a couple years ago, demanding change. Some of us were warning that change, for the sake of change was dangerous; especially given the amount of realtive success we'd had in the previous 6-7 seasons.

I'll continue to say that I'm uncomfortable writing Billups off as a coach, but the decision to go with an incredibly unproven head coach during Dame's prime seem to be made in incredibly poor judgement. Olshey made plenty of questionable moves though, which is why I said we got rid of the wrong guy first. I would've liked to see a new, fresh GM come in and decide if it was time for a new head coach.

I just seriously want to tear down the entire franchise to the studs and start over.

New owner.

New GM.

New coach.

New roster.

Cut out all the dry rot and just completely start over fresh. I'm willing to wait a decade if it takes that long, but I want to see us start over with a solid foundation.
 
It hasn’t been this clear to me at the beginning of a season that we’re going to be a shit team since the Charles ‘Spider’ Smith was a starter days

In the last 4 years, since being swept by the Pelicans, we have done what you wanted. We have gotten rid of everyone on the roster but Dame and Simons. We have a new coach. We have a new owner. We have a new GM. I guess you just need to wait the 10 years now.
 
We'll see. If we play like we've been playing we're not going to win ten games but I just don't think this is what we'll see in a week and a half. I guess we'll all have to wait to find out.

Have you ever gone a decade without calling for a new coach? Didn't you want Stotts gone and now you want Billups gone after one season?
