I’ve been wanting Payton since he entered NBA he brings that intangible defense that we need while still having some ok offense. Love to have hum

We did have him when he entered the NBA. We just didn’t think he was worthy.

Yeah Steve was never athletic enough to beat anyone off the dribble, but being the all time NBA leader in 3 pt% apparently was a marketable skill as he played 15 years in the league.

Oh he was a great shooter and definitely had his niche.

But had he not play with the Bulls dynasty I don’t think he’d be as revered as he is as a player.

Obviously a first ballot hall of fame coach.

He's revered as a great shooter sure, but as a player? At his best he was an effective role player on offense spreading the court with his deep ball threat but always a liability on D. He made a big shot for the Bulls winning a championship, which he's remembered for, but he's no more revered then Hodges or John Paxton.

Liability on D? Where’d you get that from? He was a great defender, even when he played for us.

Yeah I heard like a knee and hip replacement at the same time last year or something? Had to do with being in the military years ago

Why does it need to be shared here? Do you want your medical info shared here publicly?

We need a center and a wing...not sure why we'd target a 2 guard unless we're trading some guards

These guys statistical analysis likes Payton better.
Payton https://craftednba.com/players/gary-payton-ii

Brown https://craftednba.com/players/bruce-brown

Either way, I'm coming around to the idea that GP2/Brown will be the guy that guards opposing point guards. This is so Dame/Ant don't have to chase around Steph or Ja all night. This all but relegates Hart to primarily defending SFs though, which I think he could do. But again we're now putting players into positions that don't maximize their strengths....

Those that wanted Thybulle....Brown/GP2 fills the same type of defense only role that Thybulle would have on this team.

If we don't get GP2/Brown....we're gonna target Cody/Caleb Martin after that. So might as well get GP2.

Marang wants everything he does shared publicly...it's why he tweeted it...last few times I've listened to him he's had allergies, surgeries and pain killer complaints...I only know this because Danny makes all that very public. Reminds me of my late father in law...loved to talk about health issues all the time. Would ask me to take him to the doctor almost daily just so he could chat with other patients about their issues and compare his. He's no Norm McDonald about that stuff

Yes.

I’ll reference you to heat stroke thread and J pouch threads in the OT section.

you have (or had) a colostomy bag, no?

(not being a dick and I’ll happily remove this post if I’m incorrect and/or you don’t care to share - but you don’t want people knowing your medical shit, right? I know I don’t for many reasons.)

Hollllyyyyy shit.

Something else has gotta be happening. This makes no sense otherwise.
Yeah I suspect Hart and or Sharpe will be dealt. Positionally you would think for a forward.

Then sign center for vet min.

I really hope Sharpe isn't traded. I feel like him becoming a star is basically the only chance this team has to contend, even if that's a long shot chance.
