underpaying someone is not cool at alleh? are you unfamiliar with the economics? this is supply/demand
sounds like slavery
when you're dealing with the CBA, the cap, and max contracts, this isn't a free market.underpaying someone is not cool at all
pay people what theyre worth, simple as that
this is modern day slaverySlavery? For a volunteer contract signed by someone for double-digit millions of dollars per year....to play a game?
That is a disservice/disrespectful to those who actual suffered through slavery.
context matterswhen you're dealing with the CBA, the cap, and max contracts, this isn't a free market.
And if we're giving him a deal larger than any other team, how is that not paying him what he's worth?
It is not slavery simply because he does not have to sign if he does not like it, so stop with this nonsense.this is modern day slavery
were not gonna pay you what you deserve, but instead were gonna underpay you cause you cant get better offer elsewhere
and of course everyone would expect nurk to perform at his highest level and if he dont, well, lets jsut say comments wouldnt be pretty

I agree somewhat on Nurk, and you can see some of the same low points with Ayton. Both are pouters when the chips are down. That has to change. I think Nurk is a better value at what he's gonna get paid. Everyone says Phoenix is doing it right, but all of a sudden, their wrong on Ayton. There's a reason they don't want to give him max money, and i don't want the Blazers to either. Re-sign Nurk. What he deserves? Nurk has averaged 51 games per season in his career. In those games, he seems engaged 1/2 the time. When he is engaged, he is good. But when he is not, it is very frustrating. Also, he has always been a below average efficiency center for his career. There is a reason bigs aren't getting large amounts of money except for the elite bigs. Nurk is a long way from elite. If he was so valuable, there would have been teams lining up to bid on his services.
I appreciate your love for the Beast, but reality has to kick in at some point.
nurk is easily worth max contract
If teams have centers they're happy with, or prefer a different type of center, or prefer to invest in other positions, then clearly Nurk is not "worth" a max contract to them. That's how labor for hire works. Nurk is "worth" whatever is is able to garner from those to whom he desires to sell his services.context matters
some teams dont have money, some teams prefer other type of center, some teams prefer to invest in other positions, some teams already have a center theyre happy with, its really not simple as you put it
I see the Blazers remaining patient on this. I just don't see him being offered that money. I think he gets around 17 per on the high side.Nurk is simply holding out for someone to offer him 80/4
nurk is easily worth max contract and some people think ayton is better lol
makes you wonder why contending phoenix suns dont want to give him max contractI love Nurk, but Ayton is better in everything besides passing. And he doesn't have the injury history and is younger.

We have a better chance of Durant being acquired, than overpaying Ayton in a S & T. Plus he pouts too.I love Nurk, but Ayton is better in everything besides passing. And he doesn't have the injury history and is younger.
are you saying nurk & robinson are in the same tierMitchell Robinson got 4/60 so yeah...Nurk gonna be waiting a very long time for 4/80![]()
You haven't been watching the Nat'l BBall shows. They've been lauding the Suns the past 2 years.Who says the Suns are doing it right? They're notoriously cheap and didn't want to give the qualifying offer to their other lottery pick, Jalen Smith. They don't have more than a handful of scouts because they're cheap.
I'm not one to want to put your resources in a center, but when they're as good as Ayton, at his age and potential, you do it.
All day long.
