The conflating is so insulting to people with actual disabilities. Borderline slap-worthy by some people's metrics...
It isn't ok to make fun of someone for a medical.condition or disability bro. There are many cases in which a medical condition does cause a disability.

Saying mean things can cause emotional damage to where kids commit suicide. Punching someone can make them realize.not.to do it again.
Yeah but bullies beating up kids in public never causes suicide... we get it, you don't like what he said and think he should be physically assaulted for saying it.

Then don't be an asshole and say something rude about someone else when it comes to disabilities, gender, race, medical conditions etc. It isn't that hard.

He's not saying it is. He is saying you are coming off a bit dramatic. You are conflating disabled people with a medical condition...severity.

Damn man! That's all the best things to make fun of!

No one is disagreeing with you on that

That's more for sharing on phones versus on a TV screen. Its kind of a pain deciding which way to shoot because if you want to do something on more formats versus something for instagram stories only
As somebody who works in the industry, I HATE when I have to use a players video and pics in that format. Also as a soccer dad, it cracks me up when other parents ask why my daughters highlights look so good and fill the whole TV!!??

I'm very familiar with multiple instances of that being fact. I see kids on the daily with zero friends.being called monsters by other kids.because of their physical appearances.

Under no circumstances is it ok to talk.shit about someones physical appearance. Sometimes the damage is irreversible.

Great points and I agree. But I’m quite sure punching somebody can cause irreversible PHYSICAL AND MENTAL damage.

I guess my few of this is……I’ve never seen somebody get put in the hospital or died from a mean spirited joke….. I have seen both from physical violence. I’ll leave it at that.

I don't deny there is a fine line. Murdering someone or putting them in the hospital obviously isn't ok. Slapping someone upside the head or giving them a good smack is sometimes warranted.

If Will would have gone up there and beat the shit out of Chris like we all know he could have, that would be a different story.

I'm not saying what Will did wasn't wrong. He should have gone up there and grabbed the mic and told everyone how distasteful that joke was. But sometimes a good smack gets the point across fine too.

Horizontal is always the correct way. Any app that doesn't work with horizontal is trash.

Don Rickles should be ashamed of himself. May he R.I.P.

Watch in the next 24 hours you will see both in pr piece, addressing whole ordeal.

Reactions: ABM
I have watched the video for a 2nd time, as well as watched a couple of videos on YouTube on the subject. I still missed the joke even on the 2nd viewing. Probably because it was a bad joke, and I had no idea that the G.I. Jane 2 comment was about Jada's hair.

For me, sure it was a bad joke, but not worthy of violence against Chris Rock. My 2nd thought is. Will Smith's very first reaction, captured on the video, was to laugh along with the joke. Next thing he is walking onstage to "defend Jada's honor". Please, if your violence happened because of Jada and not your own first reaction, she clearly wears the pants in this family.

Also, after hearing about the Smith's "dirty laundry" that... they themselves air on podcasts, you see that the celebrities you thought were well adjusted people, was actually a false view of a pair of mentally ill people that clearly need therapy. Lots of freaking therapy. (No, I don't live under a rock. I literally don't follow celebrities, so I don't keep track of "who the hell they are bumping uglies with").

I still like all involved. But I now see both of the Smith's in a whole new light.

“Obviously, he’s got emotional problems,” said Howard Stern on this SiriusXM show today about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars last night. “Where’s security? This is a live television event. Not one person came out, because he’s Will Smith.”

“He decided he’s gonna take matters into his own hands — at a time when the world is at war. Bad timing, man. I mean, calm your f***ing a** down.”

“It shows where we are as human beings,” said co-host Robin Quivers. “Like, you can’t even say something in a room without a war breaking out.”

“This is a sign of great mental illness when you can’t control your impulse,” said Stern, who has been open about his own emotional issues.”

....

“Poor Chris Rock is a comedian and just trying to get through the day to make the f–king people laugh at that horrible ceremony,” Stern said.

“[Rock is] so fast comedy wise, he actually covered and made a joke and said, ‘Gee, best Oscars yet.’ “

Stern said, “You don’t hit people over speech, certainly not at the Academy Awards, and Will Smith’s got to contain himself.”

And if he couldn’t do that, contended the radio host, security should have intervened.

“Here’s Hollywood that’s so outraged by every little thing. Not one person got up and said, ‘Hold on, we got an out-of-control situation here.’

“How this guy was allowed to sit there for the rest of the awards, and he’s laughing it up and having a good time with his wife? What he did was he just assaulted Chris Rock.”
