If nothing else, Scoot needs to go to the lab this offseason and learn how to finish with his left hand. The amount of gymnastics he goes through to not have to shoot with his left is crazy.

I don't think anyone wants this team to have less assets or talent. I think it only makes sense to build around our youth, move our win now guys who have some more years on them to teams that can win with them now, for more assets/young talent. So I very much want this team to get younger.

Your post is exactly what I'm talking about not wanting. The desire to "be young" is not something I share at all. Being younger is totally meaningless to me.

I do not want to move guys like Grant/Brogdon for the main purpose of opening up more minutes for guys like Scoot/Walker/etc. That would only make us 3 more years away from possibly being decent, in which we'll have to be paying guys like Sharpe and Scoot based on inflated numbers. We are much closer to the Detroit Pistons plan than we are the OKC plan.

Scoot didn't have a terrible game. He didn't shoot particularly well but he did other things. He's been trending upward for a long while now.

I don't understand how we are closer to the Pistons' inability to rebuild than we are to the Thunder's ability to rebuild solely through youth... we've compiled picks like OKC and will likely compile more at the trade deadline and OKC wasn't worried about getting too young just about having assets to collect young talent that fits together.

@KingSpeed

Are you still not sure if Grant is better than Walker? You seemed to put a lot of weight in the Kings game, but haven't had much to say in the Warriors or Spurs games.

6/21 with 6 turnovers. At least we didn’t try to play him with Dame lol.

Scoot's assist numbers are not gonna be good when Thybulle shoots 1-6 and Grant shoots 1-5 from three.
Scoot has made a lot of solid passes to open teammates that haven't paid off as assists tonight.

I really like what Scoot has shown tonight. Still inconsistent from play to play but trending in the right direction.

If we traded Ant/Grant/Brogdon, Scoot would be scoring 20ish every night (in losses) and the league would be talking about him being a nice young star.

We have no where near the draft assets have/had, we didn't trade our best vet for an All-NBA player, and we don't have a legit young player taller than 6'6", where OKC might have two to go with SGA.

Is there a reason Malcolm is on the bench but Grant isn’t?
