Who said it was Lillard's fault? What an asinine take. I merely said that we are unable to make long-term decisions until we know what we're getting in return.

Maybe it's time to step away from the keyboard for a while. You're not thinking clearly.
did you not just post "We can't do anything until we figure out what we're getting for Lillard"

??
that's a Dame blame, and Cronin gets a pass

Who is that?

Christian Wood was born on September 27, 1995, in Long Beach, California, Wood grew up in a modest household. He was raised by a supportive family who instilled in him values of perseverance and dedication. Wood is known to be a private and humble person. He is obsessed with the song "who let the dogs out" by the Baja Men and has spent the vast majority of his fortune procuring the group for private concerns. In his free time, Wood enjoys engaging in philanthropic activities, giving back to his community, and inspiring young individuals to pursue their dreams. His favorite charity is a group that equips horses with balloons to allow the morbidly obsese to rise a horsey. Christian Wood's personal journey exemplifies the importance of resilience, humility, and making a positive impact beyond the realm of sports. His favorite food is tuna jello.

nope, I'm on team Cronin sucks until proven otherwise.

Is that proof the playoffs? Championship?

How about starting an impressive rebuild while keeping the superstar around just in case and then once it was determined there was not a path forward, getting the superstar to force their way out? With the potential return on said superstar, along with another trade or two, the team will be in the playoffs within a year. To me, that's pretty damn impressive.

Why would nobody offer him even the minimum? Saric is better than Wood?

Wood must be a disgusting human being is what I’m getting from this. Any team that gets him doesn’t retain him and now no one is offering more than the min. Yeah something is wrong with him.

Did someone offer him the minimum. or has he not yet been offered any deal? I can't imagine any GM would insult him that way.

John Wall -- we betray Dame and go and look at a washed Wall --- makes perfect sense to me --- Cronin your a complete tool
You can't think we are signing Wall to take us anywhere, or do you?

Pretty obvious that we would be signing Wall to mentor the young guys.

That or Simons is on his way out. Which again, he would get to play, but would be mentoring the young guys.

I don't see the downside in that. It isn't like its going to be that much money.

Betray Dame…smh
To the tune of hundreds of millions. On the other hand POR got the lucrative Blevins deal.

You think Riley will sign Blevins? Anyone care to make a friendly wager?

Grant signs for 5 years, $160M with the 5th year a Player Option.

This is the worst contact the Blazers have ever signed. It's unbelievable. I'm surprised Cronin didn't throw in a no-trade clause just for fun.

Not saying it's a great contract (or even a good one)...and hyperbole aside, it's not the worst the team has signed in the last 15 years.

Evan Turner and Allen Crabbe would like a word with you.

I'm curious why you think it's the worst.

I hate the player option, but honestly am I the only one that thinks it's fine?

Grant plays the hardest position to find in the league: 2-way wing, and he's above average on both sides! Yes the per year dollars is a lot but who gives a shit? We're tanking.

I think it is movable. We may not get more than expirings, or a late first, or some seconds back, but there will be teams that are competing that will be looking for this archetype of players midseason. Lakers would have traded Bamba/Beasley/1st for Grant, for example.

He was ranked on most lists that I saw as the second best free agent behind Kyrie. It was a horrible class. Have to pay to retain that kind of talent. He's only 29, but I'm a little shocked that people aren't putting much value on keeping some veterans. Grant and Thybulle are both solid veterans who play defense. We will need that kind of influence on our EXTREMELY young team.

Dame will be gone. I'm going to assume that Nurk and Winslow will be gone. We just have very little experience on this team. Not sure who we might be adding to the roster this offseason, but I don't think we will be replacing Dame with an equally experienced player.
