Exactly my point - 100% of the roster, even at the start of last season, has been assembled by Joe Cronin.

Thus your justifications of what "Cronin was stuck with inheriting" no longer apply. When Cronin did the Clippers trade? Ok, fine you can try and use that as an excuse back then. Eventually those excuses end and a GM gets judged on the multiple years of work they have done. We are certainly at that point with Joe Cronin.

Oh I have no doubt Cronin has shitty ownership. I wouldn't be shocked if they micromanage every move he makes, or even force him to take actions he's 100% against. We'll never know all the issues there. Instead I separate the public persona of the GM position from the individual.

When I criticize Cronin it's the GM role of the Blazers I am critiquing which may be a puppet controlled by Bert Vulcan Jody or others. None of us know where that line exactly is and likely never will know of which individual is responsible. I'm not criticizing Joe Cronin the individual. It would probably be more factually correct to always criticize Blazers management than the GM, but that's just what goes along with having the title of GM.

I think we all know the Seattle faction is a gargoyle sitting on Cronin's head

even so, Cronin didn't have to trade for Ayton; he didn't have to re-sign Grant to a 5 year deal at 33M/year; he didn't have to give Ant 25M a year; he didn't have to match the offer sheet to Thybulle or keep Timelord on the roster, or even accept him in the first place; he didn't have to sign Gary Payton and hard-cap the Blazers for a full season; he didn't have to trade 4 draft picks for Avdija

the Vulcans and Kolde suck...no doubt. But they weren't forcing Cronin into any of those moves. That was all Joe. At least it was from my perspective.

I got a survey request from the Blazers this morning concerning this game. Long story short, concession bays shouldn’t be closed when lines are so long you’d miss a whole quarter of action standing in line and the team itself needs to at least show they care. My son and I tried multiple times to get him nachos but he wasn’t willing to wait so long.
