Clippers got hosed by not having a challenge. That ball was clearly off Camara but awarded to Portland. It's a good lesson on not wasting your challenges

That was a strange call. I thought it was obvious.

Ayton is the heart and soul of this team. This win is why I should never bet on sports. I'd have lost my shirt betting we'd lose this one.
Blazers were +8 underdogs - I seriously considered betting on the Blazers as I'm not a believer at all in that Clippers roster and that is a lot of points they were favored.

I bet on GS to beat us game1 so its not like I will only bet for the Blazers to win.

Yeah when I saw it I assumed for certain they would challenge and get the ball, then all the sudden we inbound and run the other way.

The block from Avdija and him?

Best thing that happened in this game, to me, was Rayan Rupert.

He may have just been lucky, but I know he's been working very hard on all the shots he made. The 3-pointer, and the banker near the hoop. Usually his bankers near the hoop have been bad misses.

Yes! That run was magic.

God you fans rooting for losses are so depressing. It was a good win for the youngest team in the NBA. Enjoy it.

Nope, but you can. Grant, Ant and Ayton only leading Portland to meaningless wins while screwing their draft position. I would enjoy it if they were leading them to something of note, like a summer league title.

Second youngest.

We are about to play the youngest.

He had a 5 point play tonight, pretty cool.

Had the fast break where he gets the bucket and foul on his french idol Nic. Misses the 3pt play freethrow but the Blazers get the offensive rebound and he drills the 3.

Don't see many plays over 4 points. I think Dame may have had a 7 point play once or something which is a one in a million chance or such.

I had a feeling earlier today this was going to be a win.

the Simons-Ayton-Grant trio is going to generate just enough wins to fuck up any chance the Blazers have at a high draft pick. If they are there, Billups will play them big minutes like tonight. They averaged 34 minutes and took 53 of Portland's 92 shots (58%).

Ayton 34 minutes; Clingan 11 minutes. Simons 36 minutes and 24 shots; Scoot 24 minutes and 8 shots. That's correct, Simons had as many shots as Scoot had minutes.

yuck

I didn't even think of it like that. Good observation.

Watched the entire game. I like to see our guys competing but 2 wins and 3 losses doesn't excite me. Simons, Grant and Ayton getting more than half the shots doesn't excite me...

The opposing team getting an out of bounds call against them when we blocked a shot off the stanchion and that might have given us the game... does not excite me.

I want Ant on a team where his instant offense means more wins than losses in both the regular season and the playoffs. I want Jerami on a team where his two way talent means playoff wins. The same goes for Ayton. So either we cash in most of our young players, guarantee Chicago our 2025 pick, package a huge bundle of picks together with our young prospects for a young proven superstar that we can win with in the playoffs and the future... or we trade those three (Grant, Ayton and Simons) and start learning how to play the game right while losing and securing the best pick possible.

Really enjoy watching the defensive length of our squad this year. Outside the few minutes that Scoot and Ant play together we are enormous. We seem like a legit average defense which is the first time I've seen that in 5+ years? At times our defense have stretches that look even better when you can see the opponents struggling.

The offense is super bad though, and I don't enjoy watching a game where our "big 3" of Ant/Grant/Ayton jack up 53 shots.

And while Grant was sleep-walking in this game, Rupert looked like he was ready to have the game of his life. "Not so fast" says Billups.
