This franchise needs to build around Sharpe. I don’t understand why they dont sweat him. Grant and Ant need to get traded asap and throw the ball to sharpe so he can shoot 20 times a game.. he’s that good
Hasn’t proved he can stay remotely healthy

sharpe is the best player on this team.
One problem is that he doesn't know that, another is Ant and Jerami don't know it and the last problem in regards to the fact you stated is that I'm not sure Chauncey knows it but every once in a while Chauncey talks like he knows Shaedon is the best player on this team.

apparently dalano banton thinks he is.

I just don't have any interest watching grant/ayton/ ant chuck up shots and play lackluster d for 30+ mins and lose..... all while scoot/shaedon/clingan play < 20 minutes and come off the bench.

if we're gonna be shit, can we at least let the young guys who we want to evaluate play? wtf is this strategy, man. pick a lane. if you're gonna rebuild, then go all in.

This season so far, I have only really paid attention while our bench is in the game. Watching our starters play is boring as f.

I JUST NOW realized that @Mediocre Man literally has a Nazi as his avatar and nobody has EVER said anything…… #MindBlown

I watched a afternoon tv show of the gentleman that played Col. Klink on Hogans Heroes. He and the gentleman that played Sgt. Schultz were real life Jewish and agreed to do the show as long as the Nazi's were always the butts of the jokes and never had any success. Both were great men. Probably got deeper than you wanted.
Edit; The show was many years ago. Both sadly have been passed for many years.

I would love it if our rotation were Scoot/Sharpe/Deni/Toumani/DC backed by Banton/Rupert/Murray/Walker... and maybe RW3 until his next injury. Sit everyone else.

The last time the Blazers had a team that could realistically tank was 2016 and 2017. Stotts pulled those teams into the playoffs and probably rightfully so because both drafts produced very little. 2016 did have Jaylen Brown and Domantas Sabonis, Jamal Murray so there were a few picks but unfortunately the Blazers didn't have any. 2017 netted Collins and Swanigan in a weird set of trades with the Kings. They missed a few decent players in all that.

The point here is where are they going right now? It's already looking like it's time to shut players down if you are going to draft players? The other option is to let these guys win? What I'm seeing is they can win a few games and get into the play-in. This has got to be the toughest thing to do as a coach at this point. I'm really starting to feel for Chauncey. I would love to be privy to a few conversations that have happened between Billups and Cronin.

You’re trying to WIN games?

good point but damn it hurts watching the rotations. We got rookies who could mop up in blow out times but instead we’re stuck watching our bottom 5 finish games

Sometimes, it feels like playing our vets IS "shutting it down". :(

So Ant, Grant and Ayton are losers. Maybe so but there are those on here that want quite a bit for them.
I think you have to let them get theirs right now so they have some value. What team will want a player that cannot put numbers up?

If we could get a first rounder and bad contract out of each we probably should.

I'm almost certain I was the only one who was sad that Shaedon was playing and Murray wasn't. I realize one has approx 10 times the talent of the other, but the team is better with Murray than Shaedon.
HAVING SAID THAT, my problem is not really with Shaedon, it's with having Shaedon AND Ant (and to a lesser extent (currently) Scoot). I like the new "intense defense" Trail Blazers, and you can't play that when you have more than one sieve in the lineup. Consequently for every nice Shaedon bucket we got several easy Spurs buckets.

It's too late to bench Grant or Ant. If Shaedon continues to show he's able to take on more of a role on offense it may be worth talking to the Lakers to see if the 1st for Grant is still on the table. We can take in D'Lo + salaries.

I don't think Ant has a market, but you can't bench him because then he REALLY doesn't have a market.

Also was that 6 weeks on the dot for Shaedon? That's probably the most surprising thing - we actually got best case scenario.
Keep Grant, trade Simons.

Murray playing instead of Sharpe is stupid.
