So clearly some of you think that someone who flashes himself in public or pats a coworker on the ass deserves the same punishment as someone who rapes a woman at knifepoint?

Again, none of it is good and no one here respects women more than I do. But the reality is they are not the same. Period. There is no both sides.
And I'm sorry but the court of law agrees with me. Not those of you railing on me. You don't like it? Get off my ass and petition the court of law.

Not that the guy who cancelled The Mind of Mencia is a real needle mover here, but Joe Rogan was a Bernie guy in 2020. Bernie is spot on about just how lost the Democrats have become at the top.

Some great points but there still is tremendous opportunities in our society. I agree 100% about the parties being complicit. Joe should have retired and allow a primary but he dint so there should have been an open convention with candidate options.
Shapiro will win the next Presidential election.

it sure looks to me like Harris lost, in large part, because she could not connect to Hispanics. And that happened even after the "garbage' joke at MSG

I spent 40 years in construction and knew a lot of Hispanic men, and a few women, and I'm certain they were mostly pretty conservative in their views. The leftward focus by the D's in all of the woke politics undermined the D's with a whole lot of Hispanics

I think Hispanic America fired up a LGB-BBQ and Harris was on the grill

I made the case here that it was unwise of Harris to ignore the podcast scene and let Trump dominate it unopposed, it was a tough sell on this board. It's hard to let go of the older pre algorithm world where the celebrities in this video really mattered because culture itself was more "unified" and you weren't herded into spaces that cater to your specific interests. A 22 year old Latino guy who listens to Theo Von clips at work doesn't give a fuck what Mark Ruffalo thinks about democracy. Beyonce won't move the needle anymore by herself. Interns posting brat memes and awkward, clearly outdated format wise Bret Baier exchanges on FOX do not work.

Yes, which is really what I should've said in the first place -- her ignoring that entire brosphere as if it was a lost cause, then Dems being shocked that young men turned out in droves for Trump. Obviously Trump isn't tapped into these scenes as a cable news binger, but his sons, staff immediately identified a way to solidify a key demo.

I tried listening to the JRE Trump episode but it was just a rambling version of his already increasingly incoherent stump speeches. Walz could've potentially thrived in this setting. She just gave the endorsement away essentially by having this toe in the water scared to death approach to alternative platforms. I think a lot of it has to do with her inheriting the Biden campaign, who locked him down in a way Harris did not need to be.

The reign of the Hollywood celebrity is in it’s death throes and so many older generations simply fail to recognize it. But to be fair, it really is hard to fathom such a longstanding monolith like Hollywood being rendered obsolete. That’s where were at though. 12 year old streamers and influencers are getting hundreds of times more exposure than these people now, they aren’t relevant, they no longer produce a product people want.
Plus these celebrity campaign stunts seem so self congratulatory, smug and patronizing coming from people who large swaths of the younger population do not even recognize. It’s like “who the fuck are you and why are you talking to me like a child?”
