You don't think Portland can make the playoffs in the next 4 seasons? That's a terrible mindset to have.

Besides, if the pick doesn't convey before the '28 draft - then it converts to a '28 second.

So worst case is we are swapping the #40 for the '28 second & then giving up Thybulle for free to get under the cap

Id rather just cut out Chicago and send 14/40/Tisse for the 6th pick so we can get Salaun and Cody Williams.

In case any of you haven't been paying attention, this video can get you up to speed!

Bones rates Holland #5 in his rankings, Reminds that as an 18 year old scored 20 a game, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Likes Dadiet a lot for his upside, has him at 17. Salaun, says he could end up as the best player in this class or could be a bust.

I guess i would take Holland at 7 and if Salaun was available, take him at 14, If not I would just take Dadiet there. I know that there may be more mocks with Holland dropping to 14 but I don't think that's going to happen. Although if Williams or Topic is available at 14?

Big fan of Pacome Dadiet.

The talent disparity between he and Risacher relative to their draft range gives you a good idea on how flat this draft is.

Lottery level guy for me.
Completely agree.
I wouldn't be mad if he's picked at 14. Ideally there's a way to trade up to around 22 and snag him there

Would 34 and 40 be enough to get into the later stage of the first to reach for Dadiet?

I would argue that 34 and 40 without guaranteed deals are worth more than a late first in this draft.

I would absolutely love that, but I don't think it's enough.

Maybe if we target Phoenix at 22, and include Reath.

what happened to the good ole days of rumors all over the place - sure seems boring without that!

We have plenty of rumors swirling around our team. A bunch of teams interested in Jerami. Malcolm being one of the most likely players on the move in the league. Us being one of the two most likely teams to move up in the lotto.

So yeah, those are pretty loud and widely reported rumors about us. Usually the trades that happen are the ones that aren't rumored (see Bridges yesterday like a bolt of lightning).

There will be no Blazer trades.

Seems crazy to come out of this draft with 4 rookies, but maybe they will just get a couple of 2-way players in the 2nd round.

Brogdon needs to be traded, if it happens as part of the draft process or not, I don't know, but my guess is that there is at least one single draft, maybe as simple as swap the 2 2nd-rounders and the 14 to go up 3 places or so in the first draft, something like that.

Mike Richman made his 5 bold predictions today and one of them was that they would make a trade and another was that we'd add a second top 10 pick. Just guesses, but I think he might be right.

Out of curiosity, would any of you trade Toumani and the 14th pick to move up to the 8th pick?

There are a ton of sourced reports that we're one of the most motivated teams in the league trying to get a second pick in the top 10. I don't think that should be too hard to do in this draft given what everyone is saying about the tiers in this draft (if there are tiers) being pretty similar.

Well, after 2 years of swearing (by some) that the blazers would trade out of the pick and having it turn out different, it sure has quieted on the front.
I truly have no idea. Just watching for the pure surprise and entertainment. Post draft, the well spring of hope will gush eternal.

I'm hoping for path different from an injured center, a guard/forward, or a power forward with measurables over production.

Interesting question. Where do we see Toumani playing? SF or PF? I see him more as a PF in today's NBA. Short in height, long in wing span, and weighs in at 226.

Do we see him as a future starter? If not, and whoever is there at 8 might be worth it. Salaun, Williams, Holland?
I guess it depends on who we grab at 7

It's all gonna depend on who is still there in the top 10. If Salaun is there, I could see us moving up.

I was thinking the same. He would be their next Bruce Bowen.
yeah, I want no part in trying to score against a Camara/Sochan/Zach Collins/Wemby front-line group. Sounds absolutely miserable.

The term "bold prediction" has always cracked me up.
