Game Thread 2025-26 GAME #38 - BLAZERS VS ROCKETS - JANUARY 7, 2025 - WEDNESDAY - 7:00 PM - KUNP - BLAZERVISION (4 Viewers)

Yes, but if another team were 19-19, we would be one game behind them in the standings. Or put another way, if we had won one of the games we've lost, we'd be .500.

I personally see it your way, but I understand SSS's.

Another team isn't. And, I'm not talking about how far we are below the team above us. Just how far we are from being at .500. sure, but we didn't win one of the games we lost. We are 18-20, 2 games under .500

I don't remember "Zebras" ever helping out the Trail Blazers, like ever. We have been hosed by them by a lot and probably would have gotten hosed in this game too without the review.

Really? Complaining about the refs when they gave them a challenge they didn't deserve. The refs saved their ass until they couldn't.

Again, I see it the same way you do...but it's not hard to understand why someone might see it the way SSS does.

That was a pretty physical game. Tou and Sidy both fouled out. We could really use Murray on Friday.
Deni was able to get to the line for the Blazers, and SS to some extent, but I felt that Houston fouled a lot more than that. They foul a lot on the perimeter and get away with it.

I will probably regret this as they will probably catch fire tomorrow, but the two forwards we coveted most from Houston in trade scenarios...... went 7-31. I can see why there is love for Eason.....he still played well, but I think Sharpe will have a brighter future than Jabari Smith from that draft.

The trade was fantastic but you have to think NOBODY on either side of the trade thought he’d turn into this!
That's right. Even though I voted in one of our polls here that I thought he would eventually be our best player, never dreamed he would be this good. And he didn't look that good until Billups started putting the ball in his hands a lot more.

What the hell are you talking about? He played great. He had one mistake or bad pass out of quite a few great ones? Ease up on the guy! At this point, it is starting to smell like racism or SOMETHING other than genuine concern over his game.
No, i think what smells is when someone prematurely jumps to call someone else a racist.

Jabari seems really passive.

Maybe it's just me, but I thought the fouls called on Yang were either marginal, questionable, or wrong. The kind of foul calls that would not have been called on an established vet.
Adams was manhandling Yang out there. I think most of them should have been no-calls given the rest of the game, but the second half the refs were trying to keep it a close game… might have had money riding on it lol

Speak for yourself...

I loved Eason in the draft & wanted to find a way to get him.
I didn't (and still don't) see the love for Smith. He's a decent rotation player, but will never be a difference maker. He's essentially Jerami Grant V2.

Houston could've had Shady Sharp in 2022 and could've had Stephon Castle or Kling-Kong in 2024.
I think both blazers selections in those years are better than what Houston chose.

Sounds like I was speaking for you as well. That is pretty much what I said.

Absolutely. Not only the fouls, but the traveling call too. Yes, he technically did travel, but this is the NBA.....they travel....... a lot.
He got the rookie treatment from the refs.

I think Sharpe already does. He’s getting attention at the national level. Jabari? Not so much.

Rockets fans complaining about a player seeking contact and drawing fouls is rich.

Remind me again what team Harden played for for like a decade when he was doing the exact same thing?
Never thought about it, but you're right on there--leading the league in FTA, turnovers, and minutes played is a very Harden-esque stat.

Yeah, Eason can go fuck himself. He gave zero respect to Deni. Maybe he was trying to get some calls on Friday by saying that, but more than likely it will backfire on him.

Bro! This is close to the worst post in the history of this joint. Something the JinxSpeed guy would bang out on their keyboard. C’Mon.
It competes with that post by the HCP guy who kept telling people not to discuss the draft because the draft was weak and then we came out with Clingan and we see what Clingan is doing for us now in just his second season. Tough to say which is worse.

It was clearly still being touched by the Rocket player's hand with the red light on around the backboard. Open your eyes. If anything, this corrected the egregious overturn of the foul against Love, where the refs tried to hand the game to the Rockets.

Do you realize how many people bet on this game? And the dollar amounts? You think the refs aren't crooked? The NBA is literally tied with the mob. Documented. Have you seen how many couches have been getting technicals lately and ejected? The officiating is a joke. Completely crooked.
Coaches*, haha.
