Event 2025 NBA DRAFT LOTTERY, COMBINE, AND DRAFT (1 Viewer)

If you guys really think it’s rigged you are crazy. Look up the process & security etc. It’s absolutely not rigged. But I know dipshits love a good conspiracy theory.
I’ve seen your haircut FAMS…… I’d ease up on the whole “dipshits” thing! #BAM

That'd be exactly the kind of thing they would do though to take the heat off of them giving the #1 to Dallas and #2 to SAS
So the NBA has a conspiracy to give high lottery picks to a small market like the Spurs then have the small market Thunder play in the finals.

The evolving rational of these conspiracy is great.

Maybe next year the NBA will have a conspiracy where the Blazers win it all just to keep people guessing!

I enjoy all of the conspiracy talk as much as the next man, but in the end, it doesn't really matter (sing it!)

We're small market fans in a league that has preferred large markets. I'm not going to change my fandom, regardless.

I like it that despite the fact that San Antonio is a small media market people on here refer to them as an example of these huge conspiracies. Just doesn't make sense and where is your fucking evidence to make such outlandish claims. Oh yeah, it's 2025 so people can just say whatever the fuck they want, no matter how silly and not worry for one second about having substance to back up their wild ideas.

Great job continuing our current culture of baseless conspiracies. @Chris Craig and @Natebishop3 you guys keep doing the terrible work of eroding confidence in things without a shred of proof that those things are corrupt.

Your argument is as I understand it: Some things in the world are corrupt and you don't like the way things are going in the NBA... so the NBA is one of those corrupt things, no evidence needed.

Nuggets Bucks Raptors won titles last few years.

Yeah Warriors have won 4.... But they had 40 years of irrelevant sucking before that. Knicks had multiple decades without winning anything.

Meanwhile the Spurs won 5 titles and Pistons 3. West looks like it'll be dominated by OKC and the Spurs the next decade.

Markets certainly have an advantage - but it was more historically with extra revenue and free agency destinations. NBA has made rules changes to basically take away those advantages. Teams don't sign max free agents nowadays.

Will be interested how the conspiracy evolves.

Regardless, Blazers won't be winning anything

@Natebishop3 to add to your thoughts, dont forget, Dallas let Brunson just walk. Who picked him up? NY. Another big market needing a star. Randle wasn't it. So Is it possible Dallas was told to let Jalen walk and trade Luka and we will get you Flagg? Gets two allstars moved to major markets both in need of a younger face for the long term.
Just sayin…

The majority by far are.
The Knicks haven't won one in over 50 years.

Knicks have won 2.
Lakers have won 17.
Clippers have won none.
Chicago has won 6.
Philly has won 3.
Dallas has won 1.

Milwaukee, Toronto and Denver have won 3 out of the last 6 titles.

OKC and Denver have strong chances of winning this year.

I know ya'll are mad, but come on now.

We should be more mad we didn't lose more games for more chances.

The philosopher Karl Popper argued that the mark of a science was falsifiablity. If you theory can "explain" everything, no matter what happens, then it's not a good theory, it's bullshit.
OKC loses - "see, it's a small-market team, of course the league made them lose"
OKC wins - "see, they let them win to take the heat off and obscure their corruption"

I will assume your tongue was in your cheek.

He was injured son. The only reason they made it that far was BECAUSE of him.
Reports Luka didn't want to go to the Lakers and might not be happy there.

Will be funny if Luka asks out in the next year how the conspiracy will then be twisted.

You mean like Dallas, who were one win away from being out of the lottery altogether?
They got lucky. It's still a game of probabilities. More chances is good. More losses means a higher floor of where we could drop to.

Maybe that's also why Dirk won a title in Dallas! Refs must have thrown the game to stop LeBron from winning a title.

The NBA was planning how to get 4 year old Flagg to Dallas one day.

Nico Harrison is just looking around the league right now, trying to figure out who the next AD is. A big that will be over the hill in 5 years that he can trade Flagg for.

Chicago just won those 6 titles because the Blazers gifted the Bulls Jordan.

Or was that part of the conspiracy? NBA for the Blazers to take Bowie so big market Chicago with 0 titles could get rings on both hands.

It's all fixed!

I love that you’re comparing a scientifically proven fact that the earth is round because we have been to space and we have photos…. To something that is controlled by a corporation and directly impacts revenue.

What is the benefit of lying about the earth being flat or round? Who gains from that? Now tell me who gains from Luka in LA and the Mavs getting the #1 pick?

A better comparison would be Fox News… do you think they only tell the truth? Do you like to watch Fox? Do you think they’re a trustworthy news station? Are they your favorite?
You going thru some shit?

Every finals with the exception of the Pistons has involved a superstar player.
Post Jordan most the finals had one of #1 overall pick Duncan, Shaq, LeBron.

Yeah - it's as if having a generational hall of famer makes a team better. Shocking.

Amazing how the NBA got those star players drafted by such huge markets in San Antonio, Orlando, and Cleveland. The NBA has been rigged for decades!

Teams like the Lakers can have an advantage. Geography can play a part. People want to live in LA, but it isn't the only thing. Clippers have never won. It is just as much brand too. Why do recruits come to the Ducks over Florida? It isn't gonna be because recruits love the rain over sunshine.

The NBA isn’t about big markets, with the exception of the Lakers because they have by far the highest viewership of any team. The NBA is about superstars. They have been this way since MJ. They understand that stars bring eyeballs. Jordan, Kobe, LeBron, etc. the Spurs had Tim Duncan. The Thunder have SGA. The Warriors have Curry. The Nuggets have Jokic. Etc etc etc. bucks have Giannis.

If they can get a superstar to LA then the NBA is thrilled.

Predicted Spurs would get the #1 pick. Missed it by THAT much.

Then all we need to do is put ourselves in a position to get one and draft well. Heck, you can even trade for some of them (SGA).

So it would be in the best interest of the NBA to put good players around those stars, regardless of what city they’re in? What good is Wemby if his team sucks?
