will there be a post draft press con?
So prove it by answering it. And then it can be merged. But I'd never find the answer if it was in the draft thread.
“He was on our board rated extremely high. We didn’t realize only our team thought he was this good but in 2025 it’s imperative that you have a backup center to your backup center. “i'm interested in how joe explains this craziness
I am fantasizing this means Ayton is gone. But I know that’s bullshit. This is Joes post season“He was on our board rated extremely high. We didn’t realize only our team thought he was this good but in 2025 it’s imperative that you have a backup center to your backup center. “

Man…. This poor guy is getting massively setup to fail. He should have had second round expectations. Now people are gonna be massively disappointed when he doesn’t turn out to be the next Jokic.I can see it now
Reporter: Yang was one of the biggest surprises of the draft. What made you draft him?
Cronin: Mike and I have been watching him for years. We got our guy!
Reporter: But, why at #16? Why not buy into the 2nd round?
Cronin: If you found a Jokic, would you wait for the second round to draft him?
Sounds so intense in Mandarin
a 2027 second-round pick (via Atlanta) and a 2028 second-round pick (via Sacramento)The reporting says future second round picks that's all any of us have to go on.
How does this compare to those guys you had up couple days ago?
Don’t think so, he’s had a translator at interviews Ive seen.Which reminds me: can this guy speak and understand English?
I was asking, cuz he obviously is going to need a lot of coach and training.Don’t think so, he’s had a translator at interviews Ive seen.

Clingan 12.06 lane agility, 3.38 shuttle run, 3.46 three quarters court sprint, 25.5 standing vertical jump, 29.0 max vertical jump
Yang 11.79 lane agility, 3.01 shuttle run, 3.38 three quarters court sprint, 26.0 standing vertical jump, 30.0 max vertical jump
Dude, we at least have some hope with the Raiders this time. Brady will be good for the franchise. Loved our offseason.I thought being a Raiders fan was depressing but the Blazers are all fucked up. Our roster is a mess. No shooters and log jams everywhere. Fuck Cronin.
Id really like that. Personally I prefer Thiero. Either one would be awesomeI have a feeling they’re going to trade into the second round tomorrow — Penda being their guy
It's for sure the biggest reach in the first round by a mile. That being said, I've watched videos of Yang and his footwork is nice, he's both quicker and faster than Clingan, some of the passes I've seen him make are insane, he finishes well around the hoop, he rebounds well, he has really solid timing when protecting the rim. The footwork, soft hands, court vision, passing ability and overall feel for the game (a much slower game in China) are what they drafted this guy for.Best rating i found on that pick at 16 was a D-.
Pretty much could have bought a late second rounder and got that dude.
He's big yes but slow and can't shoot. He's worse than a Tall Slow White Center. Thanks @Mediocre Man
It's even worse thinking they just used their pick last year on Donovan Clingan who is also a Tall Slow White Center that is slow and can't really shoot.
Now lets think about If thy really wanted a Center for some reason? The very next pick by the T-Wolves netted Beringer.
Someone please explain an upside to this pick. It's literally been given the lable of the worst pick in this years first round.
I don’t know man. He cannot shoot outside of 6 feet. He will get cooked on defense if he tries to go anywhere out of the paint. This has all the makings of that Heng Jun Korean Dude. It's for sure the biggest reach in the first round by a mile. I watched the highlights of several games and obviously I'm not seeing the missed shots but his form from three looks great on the makes, slow release but good form and consistent. I don't know how you can say the guy cannot shoot outside of 6 feet when he made a third of his three pointers this last season.I don’t know man. He cannot shoot outside of 6 feet.
