According to Howard Beck, the majority of the King's front office wants Cousins gone (2 Viewers)

I hope Neil gives 'em a call and says something to the effect of:

Hey - we know you're looking to get rid of DMC. We're interested and we think we can put together a package that you'll like...how does Player A/B/C sound to you? But let's see how things shake out until mid-December, when we're able to more freely trade our players. If you get an offer you like before then I'd appreciate a call to see if we can work something out.

That will give us time to evaluate some of our key new players, and we can build value in the players we want to trade while limiting minutes on guys we want to keep. And perhaps a guy we would currently include in the trade - say Plumlee for example - proves to be exactly what makes the team work, and then we can scrap or revise the trade.

If we could somehow find a way to do this: Leonard or Vonleh, CJ, Davis, Plumlee for DMC and McLemore; I would shit

I am not saying Leonard and Vonleh. I am saying one or the other in combination with the other players I mentioned
I got that. And I think it's still way too much for a head case and a streaky shooting guard. At the moment (at the very least) Henderson is a better shooting guard than McLemore. If BM can't get it done on a crappy team like Suckstomucho, he ain't gonna get it done in Portland. And Cousins? We've had more than enough knuckleheads in red and black over the years. I just don't see him having the necessary focus to lead us to the promised land. I'd rather take my chances with the guys you propose to trade.

If Neil trades for Boogie, the deal will have to include Leonard

Really? You wouldn't consider Vonleh+Plumlee>Leonard?
I think Leonard and Kaman would be the move. Boogie wants to play PF, not center. Vonleh is too much of a project for the Kings to take on unless they aren't trying to win sooner

I guess I don't see Sac as anything but a bottom-dweller right now, so I would want to rebuild and getting a young C and PF would be more appealing to me.

I think there's a number of attractive packages we could put together. The idea is to put together the package that's just attractive enough. And I think we can do that and still keep at least two of the following players: Leonard, Vonleh, Plumlee, CJ.

His 2pt FG% is even worse than LarMarcus' despite the fact that he takes a lot more of his shots inside. I wouldn't give up too much young talent for him. I'd take on his contract sure, and a guy like Plumlee.

I made that same point a couple weeks ago, and nobody listened to me either.

This board's value of Biebs > Bieb's mom's value of Biebs >>> Everyone else's value of Biebs.

He would likely to be included in a deal, but Plumlee and CJ would be the centerpieces of the deal.

I wouldn't mind trading Leonard. Over Vonleh. He'll command some money next offseason and Vonleh won't. Hourly we could develop Vonleh into at least a 15 minute a night guy if we trade Meyers.

I think we'll trade Plumlee for sure, but they'd rather have Meyers. I think you could trade Meyers, CJ, and two future 1sts (Protected to a certain pick). We might have to add in filler like 2nds or a right to swap 1sts in a different year. I think Davis would be a solid fit next to DMC, as Boogie's always wanted to play next to a shot blocking big man, which Davis brings in a PF or C role. Vonleh would be a good fit off the bench to spread the floor and I could also see Plumlee and Cousins playing together, wrecking havoc on the break.

If we decide to trade for Cousins, in order to make noise next year we'd need to go find a backup PG and a wing off the bench. Im sure we could send Kaman to LAC, Crawford goes to MIA, and we take Chalmers, which would offset some of the loss of trading CJ. I'd probably wanna start Crabbe at SG with Hendo coming off the bench, preferably with another wing that can shoot.

Like the 13/14 team. A good starting 5, a shallow bench, a quick playoff exit and nothing left to build the future with. Same shit, different season.....
Except that team had no cap space going into the offseason while we'd have $20M-$25M to build a bench that could make us a contender.

Of course, so will nearly everyone else, so that doesn't really mean a whole lot.

This season is going to be all about coaching. Stotts is going to make or break his career over the next couple seasons...I'm optimistic he'll succeed
That's the one area where I'm pessimistic.

You don't think other GMs around the league noticed that he shot 42% from 3 and 59% from 2, and 94% from the line? Dirk Nowitski never did that. It was really an incredible feat.

The Kings do not need any more SFs, SGs or PGs. If they trade Cousins, they would need both a starting caliber C & PF, plus a decent BUBig. They are already very light on bigs before trading Cousins.

My guess is they would want Plumlee, Meyers, and Davis or Vonleh. Plus some sweetener draft picks. I do not believe we can trade any firsts until our 2016 first clears from the Afflalo trade.

Without a first round pick to offer, I don’t see us in the running for Cousins.

DeMarcus has too many question marks to give up a talent like Leonard. He has an inconsitant motor, is known for being lazy at times, poor FG%. And based on some of the things I heard about him, he just seems like a weak minded pussy. For example, he held a grudge against Barkley for some very mild criticism he gave him in HS. I'd rather keep our high motor guys and young prospects. Fuck Demarcus.
