I hope Neil gives 'em a call and says something to the effect of:
Hey - we know you're looking to get rid of DMC. We're interested and we think we can put together a package that you'll like...how does Player A/B/C sound to you? But let's see how things shake out until mid-December, when we're able to more freely trade our players. If you get an offer you like before then I'd appreciate a call to see if we can work something out.
That will give us time to evaluate some of our key new players, and we can build value in the players we want to trade while limiting minutes on guys we want to keep. And perhaps a guy we would currently include in the trade - say Plumlee for example - proves to be exactly what makes the team work, and then we can scrap or revise the trade.
I would shit too. It's way too much. Way too much.If we could somehow find a way to do this: Leonard or Vonleh, CJ, Davis, Plumlee for DMC and McLemore; I would shit
I am not saying Leonard and Vonleh. I am saying one or the other in combination with the other players I mentionedI would shit too. It's way too much. Way too much.
I got that. And I think it's still way too much for a head case and a streaky shooting guard. At the moment (at the very least) Henderson is a better shooting guard than McLemore. If BM can't get it done on a crappy team like Suckstomucho, he ain't gonna get it done in Portland. And Cousins? We've had more than enough knuckleheads in red and black over the years. I just don't see him having the necessary focus to lead us to the promised land. I'd rather take my chances with the guys you propose to trade.I am not saying Leonard and Vonleh. I am saying one or the other in combination with the other players I mentioned
If Neil trades for Boogie, the deal will have to include Leonard
They won't consider it no matter what I thinkReally? You wouldn't consider Vonleh+Plumlee>Leonard?
It's still too much. Three of our bigs plus CJ? Nope - I'm not on board.I am not saying Leonard and Vonleh. I am saying one or the other in combination with the other players I mentioned
I think Leonard and Kaman would be the move. Boogie wants to play PF, not center. Vonleh is too much of a project for the Kings to take on unless they aren't trying to win soonerReally? You wouldn't consider Vonleh+Plumlee>Leonard?

His 2pt FG% is even worse than LarMarcus' despite the fact that he takes a lot more of his shots inside. I wouldn't give up too much young talent for him. I'd take on his contract sure, and a guy like Plumlee.
This board's value of Biebs > Bieb's mom's value of Biebs >>> Everyone else's value of Biebs. If Neil trades for Boogie, the deal will have to include Leonard
Unless they're high on Vonleh. If Neil trades for Boogie, the deal will have to include Leonard
I think you could sell almost anything to Sac's front office if you gave Vlade a carton of American cigarettesUnless they're high on Vonleh.
I think there's a number of attractive packages we could put together. The idea is to put together the package that's just attractive enough. And I think we can do that and still keep at least two of the following players: Leonard, Vonleh, Plumlee, CJ.
I wouldn't mind trading Leonard. Over Vonleh. He'll command some money next offseason and Vonleh won't. Hourly we could develop Vonleh into at least a 15 minute a night guy if we trade Meyers. This board's value of Biebs > Bieb's mom's value of Biebs >>> Everyone else's value of Biebs.
He would likely to be included in a deal, but Plumlee and CJ would be the centerpieces of the deal.
Except that team had no cap space going into the offseason while we'd have $20M-$25M to build a bench that could make us a contender.Like the 13/14 team. A good starting 5, a shallow bench, a quick playoff exit and nothing left to build the future with. Same shit, different season.....

That's the one area where I'm pessimistic. This season is going to be all about coaching. Stotts is going to make or break his career over the next couple seasons...I'm optimistic he'll succeed
I still think we can do better than Kaman and BlakeOf course, so will nearly everyone else, so that doesn't really mean a whole lot.
To me Stotts is the biggest question mark and faces his biggest test in Portland nowThat's the one area where I'm pessimistic.
