Aldridge speaks out again about wanting a real center

Wait a minute. Someone above noted that there were a lot of qualifiers. To which YOU said, LOL no, it's simple. American born white centers. Although I am thinking of expanding it to North American born centers, and possibly even WWII allied born centers.

Do the centers that I listed meet the laughably simply qualifiers YOU posted, or not?

Go Blazers

If you don't feel the game has changed since the 70's then there is nothing to talk about.

lol, mm is saying that white people arent as good at basketball as black people?

what a shocking statement, way to go out on a limb there old fella

Only if we give them our 1st rounder (assume we have it)

People need to stop suggesting this.

As it stands, even if we are bad enough to have a 1st round pick this year we can't trade it.

The Steipen rule prevents teams from trading their pick if existing obligations even make it possible that they might not have a first rounder next year. If we keep our 2013 #1, then CHA has a potential claim on our 2014 #1, which means we can not trade our 2013 #1 unless we somehow acquire another #1 for 2013 or 2014.

Larry Bird, the logo, McHale, Sabas, and many other superstars would disagree

Ahhh the catch. Thanks for clearing that up brother. I keep forgetting that shit.

brook lopez is white/cuban, born in america

whats your qualifier mm? one drop of non caucasian blood?

kosta koufos born in ohio, 7th among centers in WS

leonard is 17th, ahead of perkins, dalembert, etc

Ok, so don't answer the question, then. I'll answer for you. The centers I listed all meet your qualifiers.

My theory is right, as wrong as it may be to say out loud. Lopez' father is 100% Cuban, so enough already

Except for Brook Lopez, yes, they do. You guys are right. Let's keep drafting them every year until we find #7 in the long line of very good American born white centers in the 52 years of the league

no im asking, one drop?

I believe in the Bible, so we all came from two people in my view. It's a stupid argument that I will continue to have with you, but I am right. American born white centers are worthless.

17th in WS as a rookie who has missed a bunch of games aint too bad, neither is 7th like koufos

or do they have to be the mvp?

Mark Eaton.... Other than good at blocks; the dude was a dud! Hahaha

Two time defensive player of the year, one-time allstar, all-time NBA leader in blocks per game.

Dude was 7'4 and had a wingspan that seemed to blanket the court. Absolutely no talent on the offensive end, but just smothering on the other end.

He's the poster child for what every utterly talentless 7+ footer center could become if they work hard and know their role.

Does he belong in the conversation with Bill Walton? No. But if we're talking about Brad Miller, sure.

Again, American born white centers are worthless. Have there been good one's? Absolutely, just as there have been bad black centers. But I think, and so does anyone who has watched the NBA game, that good American born white centers are easily the exception and not the rule. Please give me the name of the last one you would have drafted in the top 8 or so?

worthless does not mean what you think it means apparently

good to know

cody zeller is projected as a top 3 pick next year, you think he is going to be worthless i assume?

I absolutely don't think he will be anywhere near as good as people think, but I also think he will be a PF

There is another factor in this equation. First, most the U.S. born white guys are playing roles of playmakers or at most, PFs. You change the scenario to white U.S. born big men, and that list can be endless. Bird, McHale, Chambers, Love, Lee, etc. etc.

what part is escaping you?

he is 7th among centers in WS in the NBA, where does he need to be for you to think he isnt worthless?

He has been in the league for 6 years. he has career averages of 5/4. If that's what you want in a center then great. We differ on this as well

True, however even now how many really good big men are there?

Love
Lee
I know I am missing some, but there aren't that many

no it works better when mm can decide who is a center or not

its the whole "worthless" thing that is laughable, clearly you are wrong
