So we lost 3 starters for nothing?

Olshey's plan is clearly genius.

Fuck Aldridge.

It's so funny how quick people are turning on Olshey, almost as quick as he turned the franchise around. His only mistake was not realizing he was dealing with a snake.

As an actor, I'd expect him to recognize.

30 million dollars in capspace and no one to spend it on.

Disgusting. Neil better have a plan.

He does he will sit there enjoying his fat contract drop a sound bit about how it's hard to lose a player of LA's caliber and then lie about how we will still be competitive thanks to our numerous young acquisitions. Then he will get fired and we will go from there.

I don't think Neil realized that top flight free agents don't' sign here. Cap space is nearly worthless in Portland. But I also think he was holding onto hope that LA would change his mind. It was a fools errand.

Portland may not get free agents... But we sure as hell do trades.

We all knew he was soft, even his defenders, and this only proves that.

He has actually acknowledged that very fact on multiple different times in public. I'm sure he is aware of it

It's hard for me to understand how he announced it too, Twitter and no thank you to the fans who wanted him to go down as the greatest Blazer to ever played... the fans here never meant anything to him. Portland was just a paycheck for him. I bought his jersey! And he went out and lied and by doing so screwed Portland for years to come. If he'd just been honest we could've gotten something back, we would've been able to accept it like we did with Clyde... but this - he has crippled the team and franchise. You think we couldn't attract free agents before?!? I'm in shock.

Spurs signed their entire team back and we couldn't resign one f_cking player. I am sorry. Would someone please f-cking purpose of having a personal department. We don't even have players with starting experience..... please explain the point of having a team!

He played 9 years in one place under team control. He earned the right to leave for somewhere else for nothing. Our GM seemed to trust him when he denied a max extension last year saying "nah, man, I'm good...I just wanna sign the 5 year! I'm definitely coming back!"

Psyche.
sure he has the right, just as we have the right to tell him to F off after telling us he's coming back, we coulda traded him for good value and instead we got hot air, so as I said F off Aldridge, it is nice to vent

For all the Blazer fans crying over him leaving I have this to say:

Get over it. The NBA is a business. How can you blame a guy for going to one of the classiest and most successful sports franchises' in the modern era. As much as it hurts to see a great player like Lamarcus leave, he has a 10x better chance at winning a title in SA than Portland.

I wish Lamarcus best of luck, but man it sucks to be us.

Welcome to RipCityTwo!

I can blame a guy in many ways for lying, for obfuscating, for reneging...it's actually quite easy

I don't understand the slightest of love for LA... He didn't do shit for us... Wow, one second round birth (caused by the better player making the shot of the year) to get gentlemanly swept. Fuck him. He is soft loser.

Sure says something about our management team, when four of the five starters bolt. Because they wanted out or we didn't want them.... Not that I could blame them on the Wes case due to that nasty injury...

And for anyone who actually took "his word" that he was staying, get real. It was simply media talk.
He did the same thing LeBron did in 2010...held the team (probably just PA) hostage to his playing whims and his personnel wants, so that we could re-sign him. Then he left anyway. Whatever.

The team totally catered to his needs. How was his misused in your opinion, Mags?
By catering to him. This is why Pops will change him. I bet he won't be leading the league in FG attempts and mid range shots. He will be LaMonster in the paint.

The Spurs aren't doing shit. Even with Aldridge, they don't beat GS. Maybe you guys haven't noticed but they didn't improve their roster this summer, with the exception of Aldridge. In fact, their roster got worse. They traded Splitter and they lost Bellinelli.

Several people in this forum wanted that and more defense from LA. If he changes it's because he wants to. And he's only going to do that as a Spur, eh? LOL
