Athletic Chris Paul has been my ceiling projection from the beginning. In fact, I have written it enough times that I only had to write "athletic" and my phone suggested "Chris" as the next word.I'm really hoping for a Chris Paul-like renaissance.
Thank God! So tired of slow paced ISO ball. lets PUSH IT young fellas!Scoot also loves to push the pace. It's going to be like we had Josh Hart as a PG in that respect.
I'm definitely reading too much into it, but in those summer league interviews, the interviewer started a line of questions to Shaedon with something like, "Dame being one of the best leaders in the league," and Sharpe didn't respond to that part, acknowledge it, or even blink. This kinda feels like low key shade at our other guards and I love it.
yeah, at least we don't have to hear Brooke ask after every game "how does it feel to have the privilege to play with Dame?"I'm definitely reading too much into it, but in those summer league interviews, the interviewer started a line of questions to Shaedon with something like, "Dame being one of the best leaders in the league," and Sharpe didn't respond to that part, acknowledge it, or even blink.
Or show us their T-Wat highlights. Eeshyeah, at least we don't have to hear Brooke ask after every game "how does it feel to have the privilege to play with Dame?"

Athletic Chris Paul is a lofty expectation. I’d love for that to be his eventual ceiling.Athletic Chris Paul has been my ceiling projection from the beginning. In fact, I have written it enough times that I only had to write "athletic" and my phone suggested "Chris" as the next word.
Ceiling projection, not expectation. That is my upside hope after watching his game, like if everything goes right.Athletic Chris Paul is a lofty expectation. I’d love for that to be his eventual ceiling.
I'm REALLY enjoying the hell out of this off season so far. We lucked into Scoot, I've wanted Dame moved and a rebuild and that is happening, and we look to have a bright future with Scoot and Shae - let's Rock'n Roll!!!!I'm here for the drama. With our own Shitshow going on, I have to get joy through schadenfreude.

this worries me a little bit
obviouly Mudiay is the worst case scenario for Scoot but last year they were both playing in the GLeague and they had the same stats PER36
So Shaedon's been traded in this scenario?Done in an entertaining manner. Really gets to the part about smaller PG's leading their teams to the CF's as the best player on their team.
Done in an entertaining manner. Really gets to the part about smaller PG's leading their teams to the CF's as the best player on their team. That was and has been my point about Dame for years. Great player, but it's a historical anomaly to achieve that highest level of success. Hopefully, Scoot is a great PG that has and equal or better player on his team. IMO, that is the only way he achieves that level of success as well.
Well, Sharpe was only a #7, whereas Scoot was a #3, so clearly Scoot will be the superior player. So Shaedon's been traded in this scenario?
You get the point.
Summer League domination doesn't mean anything, so getting excited about summer league performance is rather meaningless.
Having you best player as your pg is not a recipe for success. He needs to make everyone else greatWe don’t need scoot to be our best player though. I want him to embrace his pure point guard. Let Shae be HIM.
So Shaedon's been traded in this scenario?
Ironically, wouldn't that MAKE him your best player? Paradox!Having you best player as your pg is not a recipe for success. He needs to make everyone else great
Ah, the difference between not sufficient and not necessary. But the ol' Qyntel Woods example (that gets trotted out almost as much as the mistaken Bo Outlaw one) is misleading because he was a second year player, a la Keegan Murray this year (or poor old Trendon Watford last year).Yep. Two perfect examples: Qyntel Woods and Batum.
YesIronically, wouldn't that MAKE him your best player? Paradox!
