Of course they can try. I don't know who would have signed it to become law. Unless of course it does not apply to the chief executive.
But no way to make it stick, There is only one executive in the US government authorized in the Constitution. No way for congress to create a law, that requires something of one of his subordinates that he may not even have.
He says, go pound salt. That's it. unless they want to impeach him. They could try.
 
The PC going on right now is bonkers, he's rambling on and on and on and on. Like 90% of it is lies.

What's to investigate?
Let the Republicans present some sort of evidence and then we can investigate.
All I've heard so far is, Biden sure is bad, him and his son did bad things in Ukraine. Look at his face, you can tell he's a crook. What more evidence do you want?
And I'm supposed to be swayed by that?

You bring up some really good points!
Its sad in that I think its going to be how politics are anymore with so much polarization. Im hoping for a Ethical Mediator as a candidate. Not someone thats wants to continue with a, them against us attitude.

It's the number of votes needed for a majority in the House if everyone is present. A majority vote on Articles of Impeachment would move the issue to the Senate for a trial. Two-thirds of the Senate would have to vote to convict the President and remove him from office.

In other words...not happening.

What was interesting today is I was listening to a report that said one of the republican senators said that if it was a blind vote rather than be an open vote he said he knew of at least 30 senators that would vote for impeachment. It just shows how spineless and chickenshit they are. these people are suppose to be representing the people of their state, not the president.

Which also means that maybe they know the people of their state dont want the impeachment and would vote them out if they did it.

It seems pretty logical that, that is the case actually. If they vote the way that they “want too”, it would piss off their constituents, and would cause them to lose office.

It is completely logical from a selfish point of view. However they took an oath to the constitution, not to their reelection.

Sure but the question was, about if they were representing their constituents or the president. Obviously they believe that their constituents want them to vote one way or another, or they’ll be next to lose their jobs.0

Logic says they are to scared of the wrath of the orange glo man as he is one of the most childish vindictive people on earth.. Many can actually lose their job anyway as this senate group is virtually worthless with Moscow Mitch leading the way. What would be funny is trump winning the election but the dems win control of the house and the senate.
