I'll be sailing the high seas until a decent product is available at a decent price.these are the excuses I've heard Portland use to excuse the blackouts and Blazer TV price gouging :
-We'll fix everything in 2 years. Be patient Blazer fans.
-Jody Allen loves the Blazers, she spends oodles of money to help create a wonderful NBA product.
- Danny Marang sternly shouting know your facts. The Root contract is the best TV deal available.
- complain to your local provider, spend hours begging and pleading for a cheaper cable bill.
I think we're at the point of blaming Blazer fans. All we do is complain. If you don't like this team, then go watch a different franchise... which is actually much easier to do... the other NBA teams are on TV !!
Yo ho, Yo hoI'll be sailing the high seas until a decent product is available at a decent price.
Simple as that.

Blazer TV blackouts in the old days were annoying. We adapted, we had terrific radio announcers. Nowadays..
... what is a radio ?? That's that guy shouting as loud as possible with the hope someone out there will think every game is a Blazers championship game. Portland's radio announcer often goes hoarse after the 1st half due to excessive screaming. Holton should drop a valium in the radio guy's coffee.
There always seems to be unfortunate Blazer injuries during the season. Last thing we need is our Radio guy going on the injured list.I appreciate the support. Turns out after frequent issues with my voice, acid reflux was the cause of my hoarseness the past couple of years, some medication has that fixed up and I’m good to go. Thank you for your concern.
We’re just having a good time on the radio. If I’m not excited about something, why the hell should anybody else be?
Glad you've got a health issue figured out! We love the broadcast!I appreciate the support. Turns out after frequent issues with my voice, acid reflux was the cause of my hoarseness the past couple of years, some medication has that fixed up and I’m good to go. Thank you for your concern.

Have you gotten it to work without a bunch of toggling the VPN on and off?VPN and League pass is pretty dope.
I’m sorry, but I’m going to need PROOF that this is actually Demers and not some intern! Sorry!I appreciate the support. I'm paying a fortune too, but I get TV, internet, and a land line. I've looked at alternatives. It's a little more complicated for me because I live a couple of miles outside of city limits and phone lines up here are useless for broadband
But what you can do is start with an unlimited data plan for internet. There are three tiers, all come with a free subscription to Peacock. The 1000Mbps plan is $75/month; the 1200Mbps plan is $85/month; and the super-duper 2000Mbps plan is $120/month. I have the 1000Mbps plan and it's been just fine for streaming Amazon Prime, Netflix, HBO Max. But maybe the 1200Mbps plan would be better if you're going 100% streaming. The 2000Mbps seems like overkill
so, say you're at a starting point of $85/month
here's where it starts to get tricky
Xfinity has a couple of basic TV packages. One gives you more than 125 channels (most are useless, but that's typical); that costs, with the hidden fees around $66/month. But it doesn't have Root. They do have their Ultimate package that has over 185 channels and that does include Root. That's about $85/month
that would put you at $170/month. But you would have to buy a Comcast compatible modem, or rent one from Comcast. And rent a TV box. So you'd probably be at $185/month
if you have the bundle, like I do, with a landline, you can take your phone service online with Comcast for $10/month. I'm not sure if you can keep your existing phone number or not. And it narrows the list of compatible modems
so, that puts you at $200/month and you get Blazer games and a wide variety of other sports channels as well as networks and cable shows. But any premium channels would be added subscriptions...and those can add up fast
the Fubo Elite package has more channels than Infinity Ultimate, although generally, that's just more channels you'll never watch. It's the same $85/month but that doesn't include taxes and 'fees' so it could be more. The Premier plan has a few more channels AND has Showtime. That's $95/month.
FUBO does come with cloud DVR. 1000 hours for most of the plans. The add-ons can add up. Showtime+Stars+MGM+ is $20/month
so you could delete the Comcast Ultimate, and add back the Fubo Elite with that premium add-on for an additional $20.
that would bump you up to $220/month
which is kind of why my $285/month existing bill doesn't seem that bad. I have the landline to start with and the same ph# we've had for 30 years. And, that includes HBO, HBO Max, Showtime, Epix, MGMP, IFC, TCM, and Paramount+
now, I know there are a lot more ways to skin the cat than what I know about, especially if you live in a city and have fiber optics options that I don't have
Direct TV can go thru an internet connection and they have several packages. Still the cost runs from $85-155 and that's before all the sneaky fees
Photoshop
Rip City, thank you for being the best fans in the NBA. We realize some fans’ viewing access was recently affected, and we don’t want you to miss a moment of the action of our exciting new team.

I wish they'd just offer their own streaming service and tell all of them to pound sand.I wish they would work on the pissing contest between root and youtubetv too.
Install Kodi. Install The Crew add-on for Kodi.Ok, so i just bought the amazon fire stick 4k max, $40. . . I will stick it to my samsung smart TV. . Install Surfshark VPN, select server from another country or non-NBA city and hopefully I can watch all games without any blackouts
It doesn't have to be a non-NBA city. San Francisco is fine.Ok, so i just bought the amazon fire stick 4k max, $40. . . I will stick it to my samsung smart TV. . Install Surfshark VPN, select server from another country or non-NBA city and hopefully I can watch all games without any blackouts
Unless they're playing GS, right? It doesn't have to be a non-NBA city. San Francisco is fine.
yeah if the blazers play sacramento or golden state, those games would be blacked-out if server is san franciscoUnless they're playing GS, right?
Yes, that's true.Unless they're playing GS, right?
Yes. In theory that's supposed to be how it works. I don't know why their login server won't let me even log onto their site from a US server, but the Mexico server works fine.
Nope. That’s the only solution. Unless you pay for Fubo. So, here's what I've been doing so far:
For the record, this is using NBA app on Amazon Fire TV Stick.
Blazer game blacked out.
Using Surfshark VPN installed in the firestick, I connect to a USA server.
In Firestick Settings, I go to Applications, the I clear the Cache and clear the Data of NBA app.
I go to NBA app, sign in, Blazer games not blacked out. I watch blazer games. But it buffers too frequently.
So I disconnect from VPN, and blazer games still not blacked out, and now no more buffering.
All good and nice until I turn off my TV, which also turns off the firestick
Next time I go to NBA app, blazer games blacked out again. And I repeat the process all over again.
It's not too bad, but have you figured a less annoying soultion?
TIA
I have found a less frustrating method, mostly same as above, except now I don't have to sign in again because I don't clear data anymore. Here it is.Nope. That’s the only solution. Unless you pay for Fubo.
