the first thing to calculate is whether or not last season was an aberration in terms of his shooting efficiency. It's really looking like one but he can still turn that around this season. But, a .540 career mark is well below average in the league
He has improved his FT% quite a bit, but his FT Rate has fallen steadily to a fairly anemic level.
He's improved his assist rate a little, but a 14.3% rate is still quite bad for a ball-handling guard
this is his 4th season, and for the last 3 seasons he has been given consistent minutes and a consistent role. He doesn't have the '
but-he's-so-young-and-inexperienced' excuse anymore. He's at the point where he starting to be a '
what-you-see-is-what-you-get' role player. He sure hasn't proven he's anywhere close to a starting level player. And while he has better handles and likely better court vision than Allen Crabbe, it's fair, at this point, to think he's a one-trick pony, like Crabbe, who plays atrocious defense. Another Olshey special
because of his 3 point shooting he has some value. But can the Blazers really afford a poor-man's CJ when they are seemingly stuck with the original version?
