Politics Are you tired of WINNING Yet?

Damn Denny, for a guy who didn't vote for Donny, you sure are a sore winner. Pointing out the that the jobs don't yet exist has nothing to do with losing and crying. Just a simple statement of the actual facts. Seems that gloating is a tad bit premature don't you think? Commitments are made and broken every day.....

Seems to me a lot of people are rooting for failure.

That is being a sore loser.

In business, you generate sales by following up on leads. Sure, you may not close them all, but you don't close any if you don't try.

Why so upset about good news?

They're just grabbing at anything now. Flailing as they fall down the hole left by the shitty Democratic failure. Evident as they lash out at every single one of Trump's picks, and actions.

I wondered why there was no response to this for several hours (12:02 to 3:25)

People were waiting for the talking points/spin.

Ummm......I didn't say I was upset. I actually said it sounded good. I just won't believe it until I've seen it. I mean, it's not like a politician has ever lied to the American people, right? It's just too bad we can't seem to get American companies to invest in America like the Asians and Arabs seem willing to do. If Trump can actually fix that without giving away the farm, then he will have my utmost respect. Until then (and until the jobs actually show up) it's all still just a fart in the wind.......save the happy dancing for when it's actually a done deal.

Trump stood there with the head of SoftBank, side by side, and made this announcement.

We sent $$$ overseas for oil for decades. Now that money is coming back. The Arabs do need to diversify. We're sending out vast sums of money in interest payments on our debt and that money is coming back, too.

It's going to take making the business environment conducive to investment in the US. There's been a decades long war against business, it's not surprising they act like they do.

I don't see anyone upset here. I think you are imagining things, the way a sore winner would.

It's not good news or success that upsets people.....I haven't heard anyone really root for him to fail....It's not like there's a choice..but I've just been through about 8 years of really over the top Obama bashing.....that door swings both ways...so far, he's done 3 things I like and about 200 things I don't....not really an even scoreboard but time will tell

So how do you explain your boy bragging about getting some of that money?

Seems inconsistent.

He's bragging about bringing in new jobs. Something that benefits a middle class the failing democrats used to work for.

Now if the tens of millions of Saudi money to Clinton actually produced jobs in America, she might have won the election. The old hag just didn't have the vision to tap in the pulse of America. Maybe next time.

I'm surprised at what he's done already.

He's not spending taxpayer money. No $trillion emergency spending bill. It is private sector money. $57B plus Carrier's payroll.

It's like the guy has more of a clue than I expected.

"Winning" is exactly what it is.

We'll see if he fucks with his promised social agenda. His voters repeatedly said they didn't expect him to follow through on the worst of it.

not quite accurate...tax payers will pay for presidential security in two cities now instead of one....he doubled the presidential security detail and cost New York a lot of unnecessary complicated security scenarios that could have been totally avoided...his child can change schools just like any soldiers child has to.

Gimme a break. The government spent $billions on the Obamas' vacations. They're going to pay for security at Obama's houses until he dies.

He bought a place in Palm Prings area recently.

Trump sold all shares in companies in June, spokesman says

President-elect Donald Trump sold all his shares in companies in June, his spokesman said Tuesday, a move that could have created a cash windfall as he ramped up to begin a costly general election presidential campaign that at the time he claimed he would personally support with “major contributions.”

The sell-off could help address conflict-of-interest worries about his stock portfolio, a sizable part of Trump’s financial life that was worth roughly as much as $40 million as of December 2015, a May disclosure filing shows.

Trump’s stock portfolio, the May filing shows, included shares in a number of banks, oil giants and other companies with business pending before the U.S. government and whose value could rise due to Trump’s decisions in office.

Those stock holdings, ethics advisers said, offered a potentially troublesome facet of Trump’s private finances that could entangle his public decision-making. Beyond comments to The Post, Trump representatives have not provided records of stock transactions or other details since the May filing.

Trump is still in warmups shooting jumpers.....when it's tipoff time we'll see if he has any game

Just not the job he did.
I think his modernization of the military and the way we fight terrorism without committing massive ground troops was the right move...he streamlined what he could....Reagan and both Bushes had us wasting fortunes on failed arms investments. One of the things I like seeing Trump address is govt waste and the military has most of it

Can Trump, as President, dictate where the money is invested? Or perhaps not as president specifically, but as someone that was involved in brokering the deal?

The Clintons have done enough damage: Steven Strauss

They need to take their money, step away from politics and hope no one follows their example.

President Obama famously said a key element of his strategy is: "Don't do stupid s---." Hillary Clinton was unable to learn this simple lesson, despite losing to Obama in the 2008 Democratic primary (and serving in Obama’s Cabinet for four years thereafter). The Clintons, of all people, should have been aware of the challenges of a presidential campaign — yet, they still did an amazing number of stupid things.

Hillary Clinton and her allies have blamed her election loss on the investigation of her private email server — especially FBI Director James Comey’s letter telling Congress he was revisiting that investigation just days before the election. The unprecedented decision to put all of Clinton's emails on a private server, however, was made by her and her team. It should have been obvious to anyone that a secretary of State hosting her own email server, without even bothering to get approvalfrom the State Department, in her own house, was going to seem odd and trigger questions.

He can only do what is within executive powers and whatever congress is willing to go along with.

In the case of carrier, he went to Indiana and persuaded the state to come up with a token amount in tax relief.

If the state said no, then maybe no deal. He would have to find some other parameters that work.
