If the Suns can find a taker for Beal then Cronin will have ZERO excuses for not finding a new home for Grant -- Period

HOWEVER - I will be shocked if any team trades for Beal so my previous statement will prolly never come around.

If they have to give up a bunch of picks to move him, that’s not a win. I’d rather keep Grant if we have to send out picks.

Not sure how long his deal was but he’s probably enjoying being paid for not working like Stotts did for a couple years after getting fired
He did a good job broadcasting this post season too. So that's an additional revenue stream that even Stotts didn't have.

Edit: I looked it up and he's getting paid through the 2026-27 season.

Maybe the Bucks for Dame but Beal is literally the second worst contract in basketball to Dame's because who knows how Dame will play or when he will but even now with two years remaining Phoenix would have to either take Dame or send a lot of draft capital out with Beal to move him.

Blazerkor are you saying Dame's contract is almost as bad as Beal's

Are you high while you post -- LOL

I get that Dame is getting older and recovering from that injury might be tougher BUT if you want to bet against Dame then go for it cause plenty have done that before and he said .. Hold my beer and made those people look stupid.

I love Dame but the dude isn't playing meaningful minutes next season, with a 54M cap hit. Maybe the league will give the Bucks some relief in the form of an exemption but I'm not sure how that works, especially if Dame won't guarantee he'll miss the entire season because like we all know he's ambitious. I hope he proves me wrong but I don't see Dame having much mobility if he can come back.

I know that Kobe was Dame's age when he had his achilles injury but he was never the same and he was Kobe. Klay hasn't been the same. We'll see but to acknowledge the reality that Dame's best ball is behind him, that he's likely to miss all of next season and that he's owed around 60M the season after that isn't doubting Dame, it's just the truth.

Beal's contract is bad but he can give any team minutes, Dame can't play right now, no one knows when he will be able to and how he'll play if he is able to. So no I'm not saying Dame's contract is almost as bad as Beal's, I'm saying it's worse.

If the last two trades are any indication, short scoring guards have no value in the league lol.

Simons, Poole and CJ are all variants of the exact same player on similar contracts.
Olshey is somewhere screaming at his broker to buy.

This just shows that unless your an ELITE guard your not going to get the value people think so this makes the Blazers trade at least value wise seem decent even if fit is a little questionable at least at this time.

Cronin has been trying to trade Ant for years. There wasn't a lot available for him. Getting Jrue even at his age, is a W for what this team's goals are.
