Shae got PAID. Biggest ever per year. Likeable guy
Yes $285mil extension is over 70 mil per season.

Going to make it hard for the Thunder to pay all of these guys.
Chet+Jalen due new contracts next summer (likely 2xMax)
Dort the year after
Caruso is on their cap until 2029 at $22 million

Can't fit all of those guys. They'll probably trade one of Shae/Chet/Jalen/Dort for pick(s). I really have no idea who it will be. They will run it back at least this upcoming season and even the season after Shae extension wont kick in. So they can probably wait for 2 years to do any big move.

Perfect for a sign and trade with an expiring Jrue and a pick

A worse team. KD hasn’t been a needle mover in years. He tanked the Suns. He’ll tank the Rockets IF he’s healthy. They’ll regret trading Jalen Green. Would you have been happy if we traded Sharpe for KD?
No because we aren’t close to winning championships

Wow, and N.O. gave up Indy's 2026 pick for pick 23. Which they then gave up the 2026 milwaukee pick to move up to 13! LOL. comedy of errors by Dumars.

Dame gets paid anyway, but it still is disrespectful. The new CBA is a bitch.

Means the Bucks are not trading Giannis - and that's probably not a bad thing for Portland's picks - Let Giannis age in Milwaukee now and restart their rebuild later when the picks convey.

never thought I'd see the stretch provision used like that

looks like this is how Milwaukee was able to afford Turner?

113 over 2 years, stretched meaning 22.6 million of dead money for the next 5 seasons for Milwaukee?!

We own their 2028-2030 draft. The Turner deal makes them better for the next two years. After? They're gonna suck and have 22.5 million of dead cap on their books. Insane.

Denver continues to KILL IT

If I was a Nuggets fan, this offseason would exceed my most optimistic dreams.

Sacramento? Not so much. But if you're a Kings fan you can't be optimistic any more unless you're literally clinically insane.

Connaughton traded to the Hornets
The Charlotte FO continues to add clean-cut white boys to that roster, maybe to counterbalance the image it has by starring LaMelo, Miles Bridges and Brandon "I only supplied the gun" Miller

They can trade us Giannis in the Summer of 2028 in return for their picks back. Assuming we'll want him by then.

No one in NC cares about the Hornets. I lived in Raleigh for 12 years and no one talked about them. They love basketball, but it was all college hoops.

Turner to the Bucks is meh to me, doesn't make them much better. Turner is solid, nothing all that special IMO.
The thing is, they just need to stay healthy. Look how far the Pacers got just with good health.

it seems like forever that I've seen Cam Johnson play. Is he still any good? He hasn't played much in the last four seasons

Prediction -- Ayton to the Pacers

If I recall like a year before he got traded to the Blazers his name and the Pacers were linked and IF this season could be a lost on for them why not bring in Ayton and see.

pretty sure he signed with LA already

He has to clear waivers first but your right he prolly a Laker but I do think the Bucks are now a dark horse for him since they MIGHT be able to offer more money and then we will see if winning or money was really his motivation for wanting out of Portland.

Nuggets

added

Bruce Brown,
Cam Johnson, and
Jonas Valanciunas

subtracted

MPJ
Saric

They are cooking along with

Houston and
Atlanta

imagine you're a pacer fan: 10 days ago you're watching the 1st Q of game 7 with your team having a golden opportunity to win their 1st NBA championship. Then your superstar player goes down with a non-contact injury that looks serious. You lose game seven. 20 hours later you know the injury is a severe Achilles tear and your superstar may never be the same. 9 days later, you starting C who has started every game he's played for 9 straight seasons leaves in free agency

wow....

Hornets traded Nurk for Sexton so subtracting some too.
