So we'll sign and trade for Kuminga? That's interesting. We aren't one of the teams rumored to be pursuing him. I wouldn't mind it. If we locked him up on a long term deal then we'd have a great three forward rotation with him, Tou and Deni. What would we give up and how much do you think Kuminga would make???

i was hoping he can be grabbed for non-taxpayer mle but seems like he's wanting twice that

I don't think he's getting what he wants but unfortunately he's a restricted free agent and if he was going to take the full mle then I think the Warriors would match that just to retain his value. I think he'll end up in a sign and trade situation where he gets between 20-25M a season. For us that could make sense but not with Jerami on the roster and obviously we wouldn't want Kuminga on a contract where we could send out Jerami in a sign and trade.

Maybe we could get really creative and the deal would be Kuminga on a three year deal 32-16-16 and we trade the Warriors Jerami and a couple of future second round picks... or even the worst of our 2029 FRPs.

Does anyone know if you can do that front loaded of a deal. I have a feeling the CBA prevents that but maybe it doesn't???

No you don’t get it. Have never said this or believe this. I don’t think he is ready for NBA minutes. Check yourself.
The incessant posts about Yang…you’re not a fan. Did you have this much passion about every other rookie they have drafted, not being ready or able to play?

Still a crapshoot in the sense no one is a guarantee even with all the scouting.
Sure. But it’s a crapshoot I’ll make it out of my driveway without getting hit by a bus. I think there’s more to it than just plain luck

Horford already signed with GS a day or two ago

I think you might be reaching a bit. Could depend on what the definition of a core is; and maybe the glue guy(s), Personally, I think a core has 2 or 3 players

but that's quibbling. Even before the new CBA and the punitive aprons, teams were finding it hard to keep paying all their key players. And of course, players simply age-out; like Khris Middleton. Curry was 34 when the Warriors last won it all. And of course....Nico Harrison

but these new apron rules are the closest the NBA has ever come to an actual hard-cap. Championship windows may be shorter than ever

I think the difference is OKC didn't mortgage their future. They still have a ton of 1sts/assets.
Almost every other team listed mortgaged their

You sound like a miserable fan. Is fan the right word? I can tell you NBA franchises are very excited to add young talent to their core.

You're welcome to do whatever you want, but you and whoever shouldn't be dictating to other fans to not get excited. It's sports, not geopolitics.
Well he’s a mod so yeah it’s a little like politics.
