No they aren’t. When the post applies to the Blazers I’ll let you know by actually saying something about “our team”.Our team isnt good.

Correct.I didn’t say anything about the Blazers.
Yeah we didn’t want the Blazers in the playoffs this year. We wanted a good chance at a great pick which didn’t really pan out.Correct.
I felt it was worth expanding on your point since this is a thread in a Blazers forum.
A forum in which this debate has been had frequently this season.
Absolutely. If it happens, nobody will be happier about moving up than me.Yeah we didn’t want the Blazers in the playoffs this year. We wanted a good chance at a great pick which didn’t really pan out.
There’s always a chance today is a monumental day though? Gotta stay on the bright side right?
Me neither. I fully expect we'll be picking 10 or 11. I've already finished grieving the season's decisions. Not to mention a sleeper pick. There have been many mid to late first round and even second round who became impact players. I will not become suicidal if Blazers don't move up.
For sure. And you can find more greats the smaller the draft number is.Among active players selected #10: CJ, Paul George, Brook Lopez
#11: Shae Gilgeous-Alexander, Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, Klay Thompson
Could dig further and find retired.
Giannis further down. And Jokic in 2nd round of course.Among active players selected #10: CJ, Paul George, Brook Lopez

Draymond Green is second round pick. So if course were Kersey, Duckworth, Cliffy. Tony Parker.Giannis further down. And Jokic in 2nd round of course.

We could definitely get lucky and move up. And we could definitely get lucky and draft better than our position. That would be SUPER cool.
Utah even unluckier. This team doesn't get lucky

This team doesn't often put itself in position to be lucky. If you consistently put yourself in bad situations good things will happen to others more often. This team doesn't get lucky
I bet Cronin is livid today because I would almost guarantee you that he had trades put together to move some of our vets and designs to tank this one last season until he had one of his bi-weekly meetings with Kolde. This team doesn't often put itself in position to be lucky. If you consistently put yourself in bad situations good things will happen to others more often.
And you'll feel like you never get lucky.
But the reality is that you are just getting what the statistics predicted you would.
Taum down and the Celtics very likely out.
Yep. That's our only hope. We're just going to have to hope we "win the lottery" like Denver and Milwaukee and maybe get a shot at contending at some point before this group is used up...I bet Cronin is livid today because I would almost guarantee you that he had trades put together to move some of our vets and designs to tank this one last season until he had one of his bi-weekly meetings with Kolde.
We are in a bad spot right now because I don't even think Joe or Chauncey are necessarily that great but to think they'll be able to get our team into contention with a hand tied behind their back by having to constantly justify what they're doing to a pretend owner like Bert is no inspiring a ton of hope.
We've gotta get lucky and hope some of the guys we have right now take a huge leap forward and that Joe is allowed to build a team around them that makes sense in the long run.

Yeah, Rupert MVP 2028... that's as good as any other route that we have towards a championship.Yep. That's our only hope. We're just going to have to hope we "win the lottery" like Denver and Milwaukee and maybe get a shot at contending at some point before this group is used up...
In Law & Order episode ADA would say objection! Speculation!I bet Cronin is livid today because I would almost guarantee you that he had trades put together to move some of our vets and designs to tank this one last season until he had one of his bi-weekly meetings with Kolde.

We just don't have the depth. And we're not going to be able to get it if we're going to make trades for stars.Yeah, Rupert MVP 2028... that's as good as any other route that we have towards a championship.
Nah, Shaedon is extremely talented, Tou and Deni are the kind of forwards you want around a lead guard like that. Should we try to land another potential superstar because Shaedon hasn't shown whether or not he can be that? Yeah but more likely we should get a big that's switchable on D and can hit open threes on O to complement Clingan. Take some swings on young players who had a ton of upside coming into the league but haven't been given an opportunity to show what ehy can do like Jarace Walker in Indy or Anthony Black in Orlando.
If we don't get the right value to trade out of the draft at number 11 maybe it's worth 15 and 25 to the Thunder to move up four spots and we can grab that switchable/stretch big with one of those picks and swing for the fences with the other.
We just don't have the depth. And we're not going to be able to get it if we're going to make trades for stars.
We're among the worst 3pt shooting teams in the league...
So we'll probably be Milwaukee at best. But we definitely don't have a Giannis on the roster. Camara is awesome, but he's got a long way to go before he's a Jrue Holiday...
Yeah once we had a bunch of wins during the season seemed like this was the likely outcome. I was fine with trying to make the playin at that point.Yeah we didn’t want the Blazers in the playoffs this year. We wanted a good chance at a great pick which didn’t really pan out.
