Meant to go back and find a better player picked after each of the ones we actually took but got bored after Nolan Smith
That's a title contending team right there. I'd love to have a front office who could find those gems.

Anyone else think of opera man any time they see nick wright?

Somebody posted somewhere in a thread that Brunson would drive fans crazy here. I agree.

Brunson is a great player. But his ball handling skills are pretty average. Maybe even below average for a PG.

This also. The combination of him going complete hero ball and forgetting the other 4 players on the court at times then turning it over after several tries to find an opening to drive would be tough to watch all season for sure.

Yeah I hated the Dame hero ball and jacking up 35 foot 3s. Yes he won a lot of regular season games. But it never seemed like a good way to try and build a team for playoff success.

If Dame had the players around him Brunson does he quite possibly would have made more impact in the playoffs.
Yeah he might have - the OG Bridges Hart wings would've been a dream for Dame or any guard. But would he have taken less money like Brunson did to make that happen?

The peak Dame years the Warriors were a juggernaut too while the Knicks have had some really weak Eastern conference opponents.

How many times did he have a guy like KAT next to him also.
Good point on money. Probably a good question.

I thought Dame did take less once. Don't remember where I heard that...

Dame's 2nd contract. He was eligible for a 'super-max' of 30% instead of the standard 25%. He split the difference and settled for 27.5%, supposedly so Olshey could use the extra space

by the way, It's false to say that Brunson signed an extension for less than the max

the rule is his max 1st year salary in an extension was 140% of his previous salary

24,960,001 X 140% = 34,944,001

I'm not sure why it is that Dame is an asshole for maxing out his salary when all of the other elite players are doing the same thing

Caught up last night after the game with Coach Maurice Cheeks. Said he wished it had worked in Portland and it’s one of his favorite cities out there. Misses RipCoty he says. Mark Bryant as well. Looks exactly like he did 30 years ago when we drafted him. In fantastic shape.
