Not sure where to share….. having lunch yesterday with my dad kinda in our hood ant a spot called Grind w/ Tryz. Amazing Hawaiian spot…. and I hear,”Big John!” Turn around and it’s NBA legend Channing Frye. Such a good dude. So cool and down to earth. He lives here still. Started up a wine company called CHOSEN with Kevin Love. He was at a meeting there. Caught up for about 10 minutes.
Dude loves RipCity! Anyway, thought I’d update how a former Blazer is doing post playing career.
Always loved Channing Frye’s love for Portland

If he doesn't mind traveling with the team, he would be a great color analyst... just saying.

Well not sure if anyone has mentioned it but Will "The Thrill" Barton has retired after 11 years in the NBA...last gig he had that I knew of was in Japan. Good luck to the man post hoops career..always liked him and will always consider him one of the worst slam dunk participants in the history of the dunk contest but still a good dude!

He wouldn’t happen to be interested in talking to some middle schooler’s would he? I know he lived in Wilsonville at one point.

Knicks are dirty

Cavaliers' Evan Mobley named Defensive Player of the Year

Mobley was one of three finalists for the award, alongside Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.

....

Behind Mobley, Daniels and Green were the following: Dort, Thompson, Zubac,
Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr., Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, Portland Trail Blazers guard Toumani Camara, Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo, Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Boston Celtics guard Derrick White and Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert, who won the award last year.

Grizzlies taking it to the Thunder.

Ja got Injured but will likely return in the second half.

Nuggets are trash. Take Jokic out and we're better than them

not if you make it kind of fair and take Deni out of the Blazers

might be an interesting off-season, if Giannis, Jokic, and Embiid all ask to be traded at the same time that Durant, Zion, and Trae Young are being shopped

Sucks for Memphis. OKC took out Morant and came back. Thunder need to be humbled.

Tough loss no question but saying that they “Took out Morant” is a stretch. Nothing about that was intentional. Morant tried to do some circus shot crap and he paid for it.

Fair enough

Exactly why I would never trade for him despite how good he is.
Soon enough we will see Sheadon Sharpe take a fall like that. High flyers get hurt. Then they learn to do that only when the coast is clear. Even then they do it less.

Not playoff but NBA related, Alijah Arenas, son of former NBA all star Gil Arenas and a USC commit, was seriously injured in car crash. Details not all available but Tesla Cybertruck he was driving crashed and burned. Hit a fire hydrant. Alijah was found in large puddle of water by burning vehicle. Sounds like that busted hydrant might have kept him from burning. Well wishes.

Sad. Thoughts are with him and his family.

Ayton, Grant, and Simons for Giannas and Dame works money wise. Hollinger analysis on espn trade machine says +4 wins for the Bucks. Throw in some picks…

Let’s go Milwaukee!

(If only)
