What the hell, Celtics got fleeced !

Also IT must be pissed, he seemed to love it in Boston

Kyrie is one of the worst clutch shooters with the game on the line according to an article I read...Thomas is fearless scoring in the clutch....personally I think the Cavs roster has more of an identity now than before.
Kyrie hit the championship winning shot in 2016. He hit a three. Curry missed a three. Series.

I know.....but that's not the point...his endgame stats showed him to shoot poorly at the end of games......Westbrook was like that a lot too....sure they have both hit game winners. Westbrook was MVP but I'd always want him to shoot a 3 at the end of a shot clock

Has Lebron reacted to the trade at all?

LeBron Reacts to Kyrie Trade By Retweeting Video Thanking Irving

LeBron James reacted to the Cavs' trade of Kyrie Irving with a retweet of a video thanking Irving for his tenure with Cleveland.

When a star player leaves a team—whether in free agency or, in this case, a trade he requested—fans commonly burn the player's jersey. This video initially looked like exactly that was about to happen, as it opens with a close-up with the jersey and the caption is "Ok Cavs fans you know what to do." Then, a note that reads "Thank U So Much" is gently placed on the jersey.

"That's the only way to be to the kid!," James wrote along with the retweet. "Speical talent/guy! Nothing but respect and what a ride it was our 3 years together Young Gode #Filayy"

Looks like Khris Middleton AND Greg Monroe may be on the block. This is from Hoopshype. I don't know about Middleton. He doesn't hit for me on 2K..... :devilwink:

According to sources, the Bucks and Celtics are still exploring a potential deal that would send Khris Middleton to the Celtics.
Middleton, who can also play small forward, is coming off a breakthrough season. He averaged 18.2 points and 3.8 rebounds.
He is a top-flight shooter, connecting on 40 percent of his treys last season. 1 year ago – via Woelfel's Press Box
One of the trade scenarios, a source said, is packaging Khris Middleton with veteran center Greg Monroe, whom the Bucks have been seriously shopping.

It is known the Celtics have had interest in Monroe for a long time. In return for Middleton and Monroe, the Bucks could possibly acquire two first-round picks from the Celtics in today’s draft: Nos. 16 and 23, along with another player.

Who would say no?
CLE gets: Marc Gasol, Kenneth Faried, Gary Harris, Brandon Wright
DEN gets: Mike Conley
MEM gets: 2018BKN 1st, Emmanuel Mudiay, Tristan Thompson, Cedi Osman, Iman Shumpert (Cut), Channing Frye (Cut), Darrell Arthur (Cut)

Cleveland:
Thomas / Rose / Felder
Harris / Smith / Korver
Lebron / Crowder / Jefferson
Love / Faried / Green
Gasol / Wright / Zizic

Denver:
Conley / Nelson
Murray / Barton
Chandler / Barton
Millsap / Hernangomez
Jokic / Plumlee

Cleveland would be on Golden State's level. 4 all-stars, and the best bench in the league.

Why are you posting a rumor from over a year ago?

I was saying MIL needed to offer Middleton, Parker, and bad contracts to CLE for Kyrie.

Looks like they only offered Middleton, Brogdon, and a pick.

Shit, my bad. Hoopshype had it up like it was new.

Memphis. That was easy.

I don't think Denver wants to give up Harris.
Yeah, but they desperately need a PG and Conley is an all-star level PG and much better than Harris. Plus that opens up the SG spot for Jamal Murray.

Really? They would turn down the #1 pick in next year's draft? They're not winning anything with the current team and ZBO is gone.
Exactly. Two top 5 picks is a great way to restart especially when they probably won't make the playoffs next yera.

Here is a shocker:

"The young players on the Bulls really can't stand Dwyane. It's no secret in Chicago, they have had enough."

"This is inevitable. It's coming. It's just a matter of when not if. But right now, guys, it's just kind of a staring contest. Everybody's looking at each other saying 'OK, how much money are you willing to give up?'"

"This is a divorce that's going to happen, but it may take some time."

It's pretty interesting to hear about the young Bulls' players frustrations with Wade, though it's quite understandable that they were annoyed by Wade calling them out in the media for not working hard enough when he reportedly didn't practice on many occasions.

With Wade heading for a Chicago exit, it will be fascinating to see where he ends up. Could he go back to Miami to finish out his career with Pat Riley? Or perhaps he'll join his good friend LeBron James for one last title run in Cleveland.

I guess you could do something like:
POR Gets: Shumpert
CLE Gets: Gasol, Parsons, Harris, Faried
DEN Gets: Conley, Jefferson
MEM Gets: 2018 BKN 1st, 2018 CLE 1st, Thompson, Smith, Osman, Beasley, Felder (Salary Matching Cuts - Davis, Frye, Arthur, Nelson, Connaughton)

Memphis sheds Parsons salary and gets CLE's pick as well as Beasley, making the trade more favorable for them.

I could see Wade going to Boston, as his lack of shooting would be fine in that starting lineup that'd have 4 shooters around him. It would allow them to trade Smart for a backup PF, and have their bench go Rozier/Brown/Tatum/Acquired PF/Baynes. They'd contend and Wade would probably be interested.

Could even start Brown at SG and bring Wade off the bench.

Or you could trade Brown for a good backup PF and sign Allen and Wade, going with a bench of Smart/Allen/Tatum/Acquired PF.

I don't think the Celtics are done.

Ray Allen? I don't think he's coming out of retirement. He just turned 42.

How? They shed salary and end up with two top 5 picks next year.

It's not really said and done that Brooklyn pick will be top 5. They have no reason to tank and there are a lot of truly bad teams who will be tanking across the league - Atlanta, Chicago, Orlando and Sacramento are absolutely brutal, Indiana are terrible too and then you also have Phoenix who are a bad team as well. Besides, I would not say Memphis are getting a top 5 pick because they are making themselves so bad, it's not an asset to consider, you don't purposedly move on two players of Conley and Gasol quality with a view of becoming bad enough to end up higher in lottery

He has a $24M contract next year. Unless there's a buyout he's going nowhere.
