I loved that trade Indiana did. I was shocked folks here thought that deal was terrible for them
Yet you never posted about it until October 29th, after Oladipo had started playing better than expected. But of course, we're supposed to believe you were on the Pacers' train all along...

I have to say that was more work than i would have been willing to put out. I love it when someone does. I used to do the work and really blast the negative posters but i just have not put out that much effort in a long time.

Honestly, I didn't want to blast anyone. I was actually trying to find a post supporting his claim (I'm a bit of a contrarian, and I love an underdog). But hard as I tried, I found nothing. Sometimes you just gotta admit defeat.

Always Devil's Advocate. :devilwink:

Wait until something unexpected happens then act like you knew it was gonna happen all along.. Acting like you're smarter than the others in here..

It's Paul George! You didn't say that then, because they were both coming off very bad seasons.

You actually showed your face after a beating like that? Figured you would lay low and lick wounds for at least a week.

Sabonis literally showed nothing, and oladipo had been underwhelming in both of his stops. He had potential and i always wanted him, but when you dont use current trends to dictate your whole story, there was reason to believe it wasnt the best trade at the time (blazers and others had compellimg offers).

Indy may have won the trade, but there was no way to say that back then. Including you. So i would lay off the attacking and realize you had no idea either.

GMs have to evaluate, use analytics and scouting to their favor when making a kind of futures exchange.

Indy's improvement this season with Oladipo and Sabonis says a lot about their success incorporating them to their fullest potential as they expanded the players' roles from what they were last season with the Thunder. Oladipo's usage % increased from 21% to 30% and Sabonis increased from 15% to 21%.

Again, you evaluate what you think you can get the most out a particular trade whether it's experienced players and/or draft picks. The Pacers took a chance on Oladipo and Sabonis and it's paying off nicely for them so far. Somebody had to believe in that trade in order to pass up other deals on the table.

Who exactly was Napier going to cover last night? Napier is a small guard. Thompson would have destroyed him as well as Livingston. Then you have Young. No reason to put Napier in that position. I agree he has his uses but not against bigger players.

It may be easy to see past Ed because we have so many bigs. But he gives a consistency no other big does. That's one thing In worried about if we trade him. Consistent production.

Why did Stotts decide all of a sudden that he hates Napier?

"Bazz' is very professional. He is confident in his ability, but understands his role on the team. That role can fluctuate from not playing to being part of the rotation.
He is always prepared. When I put him in a game, he is ready to play. If he doesn't play, he is still prepared to play."

Napier knows he could fall out of Stotts' rotation at any time. It has been his lot in life since he came into the NBA.

"It's not something I'm worried about," Napier says. "I understand coach (Stotts) has a job to do, to try to win games. We have a lot of good players at every position."

Great article.
I guess Stotts thought GS and Houston were too big or long to play Napier? I just remember in the Houston game when McCollum was doing a terrible job of running point and I couldn't understand why Napier wasn't in there.
