Great article.
I guess Stotts thought GS and Houston were too big or long to play Napier? I just remember in the Houston game when McCollum was doing a terrible job of running point and I couldn't understand why Napier wasn't in there.

Yeah me too, don't know why stotts can not see that CJ isn't a good Ballhandler and leader. Napier is much better to create the offense

It may be easy to see past Ed because we have so many bigs. But he gives a consistency no other big does. That's one thing In worried about if we trade him. Consistent production.
does it really matter this year? From what I seen we are mediocre and aren't going anywhere and Ed is a UFA next summer - so trading him for "something" seems a good idea and also open more time to play Collins/Vonleh

Whenever Napier is running the point it just works. Whenever CJ and Turner get the ball I am always waiting for the drive to the middle of the paint where they fuck up.

Why watch an exciting young Philly team play when I can watch 5 more min of the Lakers vs Knicks? Oh Joy.

I swear some on here said the Spurs weren’t going to be good this season. I think their hate for LaMarcus blinded what small, tiny, minute bits of common sense they have.

Way to jinx them so they lose to the Mavs...

God I love what the sixers are becoming. I told a lot of folks couple years ago after LMA to tank for a few years but nope

Look at us now

Yeah man. Feels like a one of those teams forming where you know things are going to get real good. Haven't felt that way about the Blazers in a long time.

Shut the fuck up with the "I told y'all this and I told y'all that"... You sound like a teenager with an ego problem.

How would we have tanked then? Trade CJ? He had no value. So we should've given up CJ for nothing? Or should we have told Lillard and the rest of the team to lose games on purpose? How could we have tanked? You realize both those options are terrible for separate reasons, correct?

We literally surrounded Lillard with scrubs and expected to lose 50-games. We tried to tank and Dame+CJ ended up being too good for that. So what was the solution in you're mind, hm?

I’m so sick of everyone talking about how great Philly is... Embiid played less games in his first 3 years than Greg Oden... Simmons might be the worst shooter in the NBA... Fultz already looks like a bust. I do like Saric... but they are 14-13 this year... far from proving they are all future hall of famers like some have already anointed them

Do you ever get tired of trying to make yourself feel important?

I’m just saying.. we wasted a lot of time these last few years

That clippers series win got ya happy and management too. That’s the series that fucked us

Fultz has been two months in the league and injured for all of this time. Far from bust.

Simmons is a tremendous player, whether he can shoot threes or not. The current obsession people have with everybody needing to shoot threes is silly. The boy has been putting immense stats all across the board since day one, and has a good mid-range meaning he can probably start shooting at some point too. The fact that Embiid was injured for the first two years actually allowed them to get Simmons and Fultz, wasn't a good thing but they knew that when they drafted him and he has been great since coming back.

They are a very exciting team and if everyone stays healthy they will have a great future. They will still get a high lottery pick this or next year, and will be a very tempting free agency destination next off-season.

Yeah. If you want to tank, you build a team that is not good enough to compete and watch them fail - see what Bulls, Kings, Hawks have done over the last year. Bulls sold their best player for young players and a pick, they let all their experienced free agents leave. Hawks sold everybody they had and allowed three big free agents leave for nothing, they didn't even try to extend Millsap, and they took Miles Plumlee.

It is like letting Aldridge go and then allowing Lopez, Batum and Matthews to leave at the same time, which exactly what Blazers did, and then replacing them with some bit part cheap players and struggling talent from elsewhere, and counting on your struggling youngster to contribute. Problem with that plan was that a few players significantly overperformed, the struggling youngster turned into a bottom line star, our star player had a monster season and the new group had great chemistry. That was a team built to tank but it vastly exceeded expectations.

Our another problem was that our front office decided that this team was capable of winning titles and extended everybody, and it happened to be in a year where the cap grew by $24M and we still had significant amount left from previous years so we ended up locking ourselves in a roster that is not capable of becoming significant in the league and is difficult to change because of how many terrible contracts we have.

Woj says PG13 isnt staying at OKC, maybe trade incoming...

I'd trade CJ for PG. I don't think he bolts for LA in the summer if he's traded again. We can throw a full max at him this summer if we get his bird rights I believe.

Can you imagine the backlash of going to 4 teams in like 15 months?

Cj for pg13 in a hearthbeat if he commits to stay. The Thunder need to stay competitive for Westbrook so they would probably do it to. But then we have no SG :( connaughton can not be the solution

Saying CJ isn't a good ballhandler really exposes your BBIQ....

Completely off base for a team that just had 3 first rounders in one draft.

This is simply not true. They TANKED. They lost on purpose. They would've done that with a healthy Embiid or not.

"Trust the process"

Soooooo your plan SUCKS. George ain't gonna commit to ANY team. And he's gonna go into free agency making sure he can get his nob slobbed and have 1 night stands with all of his suitors.

It'll be the first time in his career that he gets to choose the team he wants to go to. I personally think he'll go to Philly.

But bottom line, we can't trade CJ to start Pat... That's asinine IMO.

This year he isn't a good ballhandler

Your BBIQ status dropping like a rock.
