I think Becky Hammon might have a shot at the Wolves gig but I'd hire Billups if I were them.

Not what happened. He got fired and went to OKC as an assistant and that is where his wife was in the car accident.

yeah...I forgot it was OKC but still...glad he got back in the game and sad for the tragedy.

I thought the car accident was when was coach of NOP. Ok

Williams lasted 1 year in OKC. Don't tell me it was because he was so so sad. As "Associate" Head Coach, did Billy Donovan see Williams as a threat to Donovan's power? Did Williams have a job during his 2-year resumé gap?

You should be ashamed of yourself for this post. His wife died and he left the game of basketball for awhile. They had 5 kids, 3 of which were injured in the car accident and he wanted to be there for them.
 
We did pretty much the same thing with Vonleh last year. We should be able to do the same if we want to clear a roster spot this year.

Probably the most genuine and down to earth guy I’ve met in my career in the league. Love Coach Monty.

"Pretty much" the same thing - except we didn't receive any compensation whatsoever. Perhaps a conditional 2nd rounder is essentially the same as nothing, but it's not literally nothing. We paid to get rid of our best PF.
 
......Has anyone else noticed that we’ve been shutting down a lot of guards? Off hand, we held Hardaway to 5 points tonight, held Lou Williams to around 5 points too. Held Donovan Mitchell to 1/10 shooting. These are top options on their teams! Also- first team in 11 games to hold Harden under 40. Theories?

Harden scored above his average, so did Westbrook (by 10 points).

We have two good perimeter defenders as long as we keep Dame and CJ away from the main scorers we can play defense sometimes! Also maybe 3 good perimeter defenders I'm still trying to wrap my head around what ET did on Harden game of his life on defense I guess?

Those are such meaningless %'s. It puts too much emphasis on how a team is doing currently. I.e., the Lakers are what, 2-5 without LeBron? They aren't going to finish the year with that low of a winning %. Though maybe we're finally seeing the start of LeBrons downfall as a dominant figure who never gets hurt?

I doubt it though.

This was my failed attempt at humor. This was JinxSpeeds opening post in ANOTHER random thread he created for a random thought that came to him while driving his Uber car around. Just was thinking that if I copy his posts in the threads that we already have going, it might help clean our once great forum.

Nerlens Noel just got elbowed by Wiggins and had his head bounce off the floor. He was unconscious as the med staff wheeled him out
