Rose is a good opportunity for Cleveland. He will never go back to his best but still isn't old at 28 and could provide some ability off the bench as well as when the second unit plays while Kyrie is rested.

I wonder if Kyrie would have believed that Rose would be his back up 6 years from being drafted.

I don't know, to me this signing strikes me as somewhat similar to the Deron Williams signing (not identical, I realize Rose is younger)--sounds interesting, but ultimately not helpful. At least Williams could shoot--Rose can't shoot, so he can't really play off the ball, and he no longer really has the quickness and explosive athleticism to be a good lead guard. And his defense is extraordinarily bad. It was never good, but as his athleticism has declined, his ability to even show minimal resistance on the defensive end has disappeared.

You may say I'm a homer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
We need another decaying star

Are we writing in Haiku again?

EDIT: Limerick?

Yeah.. the 'eye' was disconcerting. If I still had my Grand Mal Seizures I would have had an episode as soon as I saw it. Thank goodness I outgrew them and my brain healed.
Hoojacks too!

The seizure is strong with him.

I actually wouldn't.

I'm not a fan of Kyrie.

Same. A Lillard/Irving backcourt has all the same defensive problems as a Lillard/McCollum backcourt, but I think McCollum is a better offensive complement to Lillard. I've said before that there's some potentially non-ideal duplication on offense between Lillard and McCollum (both are best with the ball in their hands) but that would be exacerbated by Irving. And while Irving is the more famous "star," I don't think he's a clearly better talent.

OK so he hates something.... a lot.

Is it the city of Cleveland?
Lebron (maybe Lebron wanted CP3 instead and he found out about it)
Dan Gilbert? (who doesn't)
Or has Lebron indicated that he is leaving after next year and Kyrie wants to beat him to the punch?

Someone on that thread posted a good idea.

IT, jaylen Brown and jae crowder for Kyrie.

Would both sides do it?

The problem is that they still have LeBron, and I assume LeBron wants to win now.... and I'm not sure if adding IT/Brown/Crowder is really more valuable than Kyrie. I'm just really not a fan of Thomas though.

Have you guys read why he wants out?

He is selfish and wants to be THE guy. I'll pass.

"Having just a tremendously great player like that come to your team and you see yourself being one of those great players eventually and then he ends up joining it and then now you have to almost take a step back and observe," Irving said. "Finding that balance is one of the toughest things to do because you have so much belief and confidence in yourself. ... Selfishly, I always wanted to just show everyone in the whole entire world exactly who I was every single time."

With this in mind, Irving considered requesting a trade following the Cavs championship last season but decided against it, sources said.

Dude is jealous that Lebron runs the show. Get over it.

I could see that coming from a mile away.

I think the Clips would be a great fit for him... or Miami.... but what can they offer?

If I'm Boston, I'm calling up and trying to get LeBron.

Cleveland clearly needs to rebuild, and this is when you ante up and use some of those future picks.
