Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Hey guys I'm from Germany and will be moving to Portland for work soon. And it so happens to be where my favorite team plays!

Excited to really be part of some sort of blazers community. Can't wait to discuss and debate with you all
Welcome to Portland! You are the only free agent signing of the summer! Haha.

I was born in Aschaffenburg Germany (probably spelled that wrong) because my dad was a US Soldier stationed there. Moved back to the states when I was 2. Always wanted to go back.

Willkommen im Club, Sir. Achten Sie auf den losen Hund.

If I'm Danny Ainge, I'm seeking out a western conference team that might have the assets necessary to deal for Kyrie, but might be more interested in the assets Boston could offer. We all know that there's no way Cleveland will send Kyrie to Boston, but maybe he can find a roundabout way to get him. For example, I wonder if Denver or Phoenix would be willing facilitators for such a deal.

Is Kyrie even that much of an improvement over Isaiah Thomas to be worth all the hassle? He is better than him but IT is still a good point guard and they can get by with him.

Thomas is arguably the worst defensive player in the NBA, and is also set for a major pay raise next summer. Over the next 3 years, Kyrie will probably actually cost less overall than Thomas, and (as you said), he's the better player. So it's certainly a valid argument either way, but yeah, I think it would be worth it.

Cleveland should take it. Thomas, Brown and Crowder allows them to compete this year with Lebron and have pieces to build on when Lebron leaves next year.

Boston does it for Kyrie.

We know that only if Cleveland still fancies itself a championship-contender. If they start the rebuilding process, I don't think it's clear that Boston is off the list of trade partners. I think in a perfect world, they'd swap Irving for the same amount of present/future value and try to remain as viable as before as title contenders, but if their only good offers (now that the stars on the block have been dealt) are prospects/picks, perhaps the decision is made for them.

I don't think Cleveland will blow it up while they still have LeBron.... unless LeBron wants out.

I wanna find a way to get Crowder here, BOS has way too many SF types after signing Hayward and drafting Tatum, they need bigs badly, Ed Davis or Vonleh and whatever

Perhaps by starting the rebuilding process, they'll (not so subtly) push James to wanting out, so he'll agree to them trading him? Then they can get a relatively large return for him, too.

2012 lotto recap.

AD - Injury.
MKG - Injury.
Beal - Injury.
Waiters - meme worthy.
Robinson - out of the league.
Lillard - best player in the draft.
Barnes - looks like he's turning it around.
Ross - role player
Drummond - fat, unmotivated, and still a child.
Rivers - daddy saved him, role player.
Nards - how did he get a second contract?
Lamb - role player.
Marshall - out of the league.
Henson - role player
Harkless - role player.

I wonder if Lillard goes #1 overall if the pelicans could have a do-over.

Eh I can see how you can put AD over Lillard.
I just value winning and health more than versatility.

Really if you're taking versatility into account, then Barnes > Lillard too.

No Dame is head and shoulders above Barnes, it's just that AD is an elite player, he likely is gonna be a top 5 guy here in a couple seasons.
