On the surface I think most will say it is a small haul for Paul (see what I did there? Not even intentional) but Dekker has some untapped potential (we will have to see what the pick protection is) and anything is better than losing him for nothing. Bev and Lou Williams get them by this year and then they have money next summer when those two might leave.

Well, we probably won't be getting Beverly then; he'll probably be in the trade. We'll see I guess. Can't somebody post who was in the trade!!???

So CP3 is the second player to join the team that he blew a 3-1 lead to (albeit a trade). Wow...............

Guys, guys, it's ok. We got Zach Collins

And is it just me or is CP a bad fit next to Harden?
Why? Haven't we lamented what it's like to only have one capable ball-handler? Having CP3/Harden gives them a Double Dragon the opposing defenses will have a hard time dealing with. Both are very good with the dribble, very good passers, and more than adequate shooters. That's gonna be a bitch to defend.

The offseason is literally ALWAYS a let down in portland.
even the Twolves landed kimmy butler............we've landed zach collins and caleb swanigan

The talent consolidation continues. There's one less team worth watching.

Already posted earlier in the thread...

After Paul informed Clippers he'd sign w/ HOU in FA, teams agreed to deal sending Beverley, Dekker, Williams and 2018 FRP for Paul. The 1st round pick is top 3 protected.

Neither teams were worth watching to begin with.
Seriously! My two most-hated teams [current] swapped players, consolidating hated players on HOU. Now the only thing I hate about LAC are the Riverses (and Beverly I suppose).

Is it Lou Williams or Troy Williams?

Interesting. I wonder if the Spurs couldn't clear enough cap space. Paul would have been a perfect fit in San Antonio--Kawhi Leonard can be a secondary offensive star, Aldridge is a complementary player at this stage and Paul would have only made the Spurs' defense that much better.

In Houston, you now have two control-dominant superstars. Either guy could play off the ball, but both are built to have complete control of the offense, with shooters/scorers revolving around them. It's better to have both than not, but the fit will be rougher.

Maybe the toxic LMAo distraction is making prospective free agents think twice about wanting to go there. It will be something interesting to watch once free agency gets into full swing.

Sounds like CP3 and Harden had been talking about teaming up for a while.

Deandre Jordan trade has to be coming now. The Suns make a lot of sense since they were talking to the Clipps before the draft.

Would the Clipps take a bad contract from the Blazers now if it's attached to a 2018 first rounder?

If the Celtics are trying to land both, they'll likely get rid of Crowder.

I would immediately jump into 3 team negotiations with IND and BOS, offering Davis/Aminu and a 2018 1st to IND to her Crowder from BOS.

Crowder makes a ton of sense because he's a good all-around player for extremely cheap, and would make Crabbe expendable, which get us under the tax line. Trade Aminu and we'd have our full MLE.

JAE CROWDER IS THE KEY TO OUR OFF-SEASON FLEXIBILITY AND IMPROVEMENT.

THIS!!!

I was going over the Clippers roster for prospective Ezeli trades since they're blowing it up anyway, and outside of Blake (free agent now) Redick, and Jordan they have one of the most un-enticing rosters I've seen. Crawful, Wesley Johnson, Felton? Yuck.

I think that's a bad move for the Rockets and a stupid move by CP3.

I agree with santee, the two don't seem like the best fit together.

Shit and I just drafted harden in a keeper league last year too...

JJ Redick is a free agent that will likely bolt to the Nets for a huge payday. This roster is a dumpster fire.
